Do you mean the maxle? Mine does the same thing. I just tap it out with a plastic tyre lever.

I am very similar. Even any type of board walk has me veering to the sides regardless of the drop.

Just replaced our old oil boiler with mains gas ( mains gas is relatively new in N Ireland and is being slowly rolled out across the country)

Went for the Boch combi boiler ( cant remember exact model but its the latest and biggest available from Phoenix) and its perfect. We have one shower which is an old mixer type – its now got mains pressure and is excellent. Retained original radiators which now heat up much faster. We no longer have a hot press as the tank was unnecessary and removed.

Our house is 4 bedroomed detached bungalow and around 30 years old and cavity wall insulated. The new system is faster, much much quiter and so far significantly more economical. We also qualified for a grant towards replacing the old boiler so the whole thing cost 1800 ( oddly enough all the quotes from the “approved contractors” were pretty much the same ;-) )

No regrets at all – installation was fast and painfree. 2 days for mains installation and 2 days for boiler. There is about a 6 week lead in from Phoenix ( main NI Supplier)

I was working night shift and we had some building work scheduled in an old studio. Work was to take place between 0100 and 0600 and the burly builders labourer type chap turned up and carted his drills and stuff up to the studio. About 15 minutes after he was due to start work he reappeared at reception, shared a cup of coffee with myself and a colleague and announced he was finished and headed home. Next day his boss informed me what had happened. Apparently as the chap began to drill into the thick wall the heavy soundproofed door to the studio opened. He assumed it was me or my colleague and went to the door. The door stayed open and the corridor was in darkness – meaning the PIR sensor hadnt activated the lights. He went back to work and immediatlely the temperature dropped to freezing – he said he could see his breath. At this point he put down his tools and came down to reception, had his coffee and went home. He never mentioned it to us but told his boss he would never go back to that building. Weeks later I spoke with him and he said he wasnt claiming to have seen a ghost -just stating exactlly what had happened

Why would a guy who works on building sites expose himself to ridicule?

Did my first ever proper night ride on Sunday. Stupendous stuff! Its amazing how noisy you are as you cycle through mud/leaves/puddles and its equally amazing how noisy the woods can be when you stop! Lots of things move about at night……

After being in prison for 15 years, a man escapes. He breaks into a house to look for money & guns but finds a young couple in bed. He orders the man out of the bed ties him to a chair. He tied the girl to the bed and kisses her neck. Then he gets up & goes into the bathroom.

The husband tells his wife: “Listen, this guy’s a dangerous escaped convict! He probably hasn’t seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants to shag you, don’t resist, don’t complain, do whatever he tells you or he might kill us. Be strong, honey. I Love You.”

The wife responds: “He wasn’t kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked if we had any vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom. Be strong, honey. I LOVE YOU TOO!

Sorry to intrude but may I ask a question…

I just bought a book via Amazon and it was downloaded to Kindle on my iPad. Can I “lend” this book to a friend who has a Windows laptop only?

    Thanks

Moved from a Heckler to a Soul a few months ago and have no regrets.

I was a tad concerned that I would suffer a beating – especially on my lower back – but that hasnt been the case at all. In fact the back end feels a bit springy and Im still fiddling with tyre pressures. But I havent suffered any aches and pains and I think Im riding better and faster than ever. (which isnt too difficult)

Ive done the Sennheiser (various), Sony, Skull Candy, B&O and SoundMagic route and finally settled on RHA. They really do sound superb. SoundMagic are a close second.

In my humble opinion of course.
