Bit of a long shot, but if you live around Chester I can give you some local info.

That last one is surreal. Like putting a stick of celery in the waste disposal unit, but on a much bigger scale!

I was just about to send a crank off to Chris at Highpath but saw on the website he is away cycling until mid-October. Any other recommendations for a mail order service?

Agree with the OP about Artisan and Eclectic, along with Organic.

Sports physio I use recommends using ice on your legs after a ride. Tried it a few times and it does seem to have a good effect.

What cheez0 said. And as a general tip for everyone else, never buy a house with a shared drive.

Just started fishing on this little day ticket 1/2 mile from my house. Mix of everything in here including some big perch so I’ll give the prawns a try.

The Knott Bar by Deansgate station has some cracking real ales. Again handy for jumping off the tram at GMEX or Deansgate/Castlefield as it is called now.

Just gone from debt free and mortgage free to taking out a pretty big mortgage at 52, and will probably have to sell before we fully repay the mortgage. Big decision at our age but fortunately we could be mortgage free if things took a turn for the worse.

Just wanted to bump this back up as the deadline for objections is getting near. The CADD Website has been updated following the meeting on Friday when about 200 people attended. One of the local objectors has knowledge of what grounds you should object on having previously worked on the side of developers, and the new information on the website lists the material grounds for objections you should use if you decide to object.

The proposed access road goes close to the skills/jumps area so the people who just use this area will presumably start parking on the new road.

I’ll be objecting to the access road to the cabins. Perfectly good access from the north at Waterloo Gate but they want to build a 1 mile access road from Ashton Road straight through the middle of the forest – madness.

The access road will have a big impact on MBers and dog walkers so get your objections in.

Still parked up this evening when I was bussed off the Dublin flight. Got within 100 metres of it but the smart phone pictures came out rubbish.

From Chester I’d consider m56, m6 thelwall, m62 then m60 to get to Trafford park. Not much in it between that and m56 but could be slightly better depending on where you are working.

The channel mileage would be knocked off but I like your thinking.

I ended up spending £170 on this which does a pretty good job. All of these speakers will have some kind of compromise but if you just want to have music on when you are doing other things and also be able to cart it around the house then it works well.

I use Harman Kardon SoundSticks with the PC and really like the sound they produce, and a bluetooth version is available which would tempt me for a kitchen/dining room setup but the Bluetooth reviews are poor.

Patience yes, but consistent approach no. Sooner they learn life is not consistent the better. Keep em guessing on how you will react to a given situation. For example, if he falls out with his sisters and comes crying to you, mix it up between telling his sisters off or telling him off for winding his sisters up.

And ffs if you need to read a book on how to bring kids up are you sure you are responsible enough to have kids?

Where in the NW? If you don’t mind travelling 10 minutes from J10 M56 brynvale is excellent but gwylym will train you as well as the dog. Ex police dog handler so expect to work hard ;-)

+1 for garlic fries, surprised they haven’t caught on in the UK yet. Now that the wild garlic is in season I must try them again.

Not many cars on the Cheshire lanes I ride on, but I have noticed Audi drivers are very considerate and cross right over into the other lane when they overtake me. On the other hand Volvo drivers seem reluctant to cross the white line.

i saw scraps between a buzzard and crow on 3 consecutive days last week. Friday on the way back from antur stiniog, Saturday driving down the m6 near Warrington and Sunday near delamere. Couple of jays out the back of the house earlier today, but the woodpecker seems to have moved on after a few weeks tapping away.
    Great pics btw.

Not defending Amazon, but their website also helps smaller businesses by enabling them to trade on there. No idea how badly they sting them for fees etc though.

    POSTED 14 HOURS AGO #

A colleague of mine runs the website for his wife’s online business. Nice little niche business selling rainwear, wellies etc for kids. Business was doing ok so they decided to go with amazon market place and business grew, then suddenly overnight business from amazon dried up. You guessed it, amazon started selling the same items direct, for less.

And that’s why amazon should be avoided.

mono vision works for me. But when I go MBing I wear 2 long distance lenses and it has made a massive difference to my depth of field and allows me to ride much faster (not difficult according to my mates) but I can’t read a map :-)

Currently have an up and over double which takes too much space when it opens, and mrs pembo has already scraped my car. Thinking of replacing it with a roller so it opens flush

There are a couple of location based gf smartphone apps available now which are fantastic. I found a gf chippy a few miles away from me in Chester this way – happy days!

Same problem I had but on both hips. Do you also suffer from restless legs, there was a thread on this a few days ago. Multivits with iron made my hip problems go away within a couple of days.

I tried multi vitamins with iron and it cured it in a couple of days. Also suffered from achy hips in bed and that went away as well.

So £13 a month for the plan plus £5 a month for tethering plus £300 for the 16GB nexus 4 starts to get into £30 a month contract territory.

I’ve got myself on this earlier today. Bear in mind that if you want tethering then that’s a fiver a month extra.

How do they know you are using the wi-fi hotspot feature on Android?

Something else that hurts is doing 4x500m intervals with a 1 minute rest. Really easy to program in and the 1 minute rest counts down on the clock. If you get a bit bored with a straight 2k try it.
