Gore phantom is brilliant. Had one last winter along with some MW80 boots and it got me through last winter no problem. The Phantom also allows you to unzip the sleeves but reveals a short sleeved inner to keep the tops of your arms warm which is ideal for spring/autumn. Or you can partly unzip the sleeves for a bit of ventilation.

When they stop growing at 25% p.a. all the existing talent will move to the next place they can make tons of money from share options and they won’t be able to attract new talent for the same reasons. It’s already happening with lots of ‘smart’ people moving to Facebook.

Google will end up like Microsoft, a stodgy old company with the share price moving continually sideways.

My old man worked in the Lego factory in Wrexham when I was a kid so I ended up with boxes of the stuff :D

I also remember a guy a few doors down from us getting a job with Lego as a model builder. He used to build all the big models you saw displayed in the window of Wooolies and the like. Getting paid to play with Lego seemed so cool when you were 9.

Edit: regardless of my personal size clouding my opinion, but why is fatty bashing ok on here but comments regarding just about anyone elses situation whether it be race/disability/sexual preference is a no no and gets shut down by the mods? A reek of hypocrisy is filling the air

I agree, just because someone has an overactive thyroid knife and fork or suffers from water cake retention we shouldn't take the p**s.

If the £5k takes you over £37,400 you will pay 40% tax on anything above that amount.

Is 'hacking' using the default PIN number that mobile providers use? If so all the papers would have been at it not just the NOTW.

Can only see £8 for one mount on fleabay which is taking the pish for a couple of bits of plastic that seem to fail after a few months use.

Anybody else have any links to cheaper mounts or are Garmin profiteering as usual?

Bought a road bike for winter training a few weeks ago and decided to enter. Probably the most boring thing I have ever done on a bike.

Fair play to the people who raised lots of money for charity, 3 girls raised over £3,000 for Christies.

I've noticed some cheap sunglasses cameras start to appear on ebay. Seems as if they will solve the mount issue as long as the sun is shining :-)

+1 more for surf mat; when behind walkers on trails I just freewheel and loverly ratchety sound from Pro II hubs usually politely alerts them

Pedal backwards when approaching old folk, it makes more noise :-)

Bunch of lightweights! As usual the Americans are into this professionally and if I hadn't stumbled across an event in Vegas I wouldn't have believed it. I saw a guy eat something like 60 hard boiled eggs in 8 minutes.

    Google Major League Eating.

Ordered shoes and allen keys on Thursday at 2pm with both items in-stock and the order is still showing "Processing".

They are definitely providing a poorer turnaround than they used to, but maybe we need to cut them some slack in the holiday period.

Order number 4176634 if anyone from CRC are passing

I started smelling smoke when there was no smoke around so I googled it. Just type 'smelling smoke' and see what the auto complete list comes up with, it put the sh1ts up me. Good news is I'm OK.

Pembo, I saw a whole THREE people on that trail the other day

I take it one of them was Marko?

The previous 2 pics could well be from the same trail. Trail addiction did a fantastic job last week. Chalet was great, steam room, hot tub, table tennis and 200m from the lifts. No nightlife in the village but after a couple of beers in the bar straight after riding you just felt like chilling out in the chalet with some fantastic food, free wine, reasonably priced beer and chewing the fat with all the other people in the chalet.

The guiding was excellent and these guys put a fair amount of effort into finding and developing some of the more cheeky trails.

Surely the classic accident is a motorist pulling out and not seeing the biker. That must happen far more often than the A537 type accidents.

Auto for me and the current one even has a parking brake built in. If you stop on a hill just press the brake pedal a bit firmer and a light comes on indicating the parking brake has been set. Leave it in gear and when you pull off just press the accelerator and you are away. Lazy, yes. One more thing to go wrong, yes. But very convenient.

Having said that we just bought a Yaris for the kids and it's much better for nipping down to the shops.

Bit of a long shot but how about this for a scenario. Portugal and Ivory Coast both draw with Brazil. Portugal and Ivory Coast both beat NK 2-0. Brazil get eliminated.

Cheers for that, it does look better on google earth. Here's me approaching the bog!

We spent about 15 minutes trying to navigate the bog and still ended up with wet feet, what's the best line?

Started in Llanarmon DC which meant we had Wayfarer as the final descent, but the climb up nearly did for me after forgetting my camelbak and stopping at every village spar to load up on water and capri suns!

That road climb out of Llangynog is a bit of a slog but overall a fantastic ride, looking forward to doing it again this summer.

Every ride contains a mixture of the skills you need so try concentrating on one particular skill each ride. Every time you come to a section that needs that particular skill really concentrate on what you are trying to achieve, ride it, then review it after you have ridden it.

This is even cheaper, doesn't offer any protection but stops the screen getting scratched. Ideal if you keep your camera in your shorts ready for a quick snapshot. We've all got a spare one at the back of the drawer.

13% interest rates meaning £300+ repayments on a £30k mortgage.
I think you'll find that interest rates hit 17% under the Tories.

Give credit where credit's due …….. the Tories certainly know how to give us sky-high interest rates – not just sky-high unemployment. Although obviously both go hand in hand.

And inflation peaked at 26% under labour in 1975.

Another Sunday, another walkers are w@nkers post. Except of course for the 2 scottish ladies who held the gate open for me going up vomit hill yesterday and engaged in some good banter as I was struggling along.
