I think that was quite reasonable behaviour. People who stand around on the trail are real pain in the arse.

Downside to tubeless= you allways seem to want to fix even the biggest tear/rip or **** up tyre regardless of where you are instead of just plonking a spare innertube in and riding on .

Not sure how using duck tape/sparky tape is a bodged job .
Stans tape is ‘tape’ nothing else ,it has no special powers .

The side where the hinges are i’ve got a few lengths of chain before {top and bottom of the door } and anchored each end to the door and shed , so if they prise the hinges of the shed the chain stops the door from opening out , if you get my drift .
Anything that slows the scum bags down all works .

Plenty of 510’s are the same,iv’e seen riders have 50% extra elevation on strava because there’s been a low pressure that day .

Watched a weasel kill a rabbit a few weeks ago near Thoralby then take it off into the grass , and about 5 years caught one pushing a pheasants egg over a cycleway/old railway line .

If you want scenery and a mint ride then go to Wensledale/Swaledale/nidderdale etc , and there still on the doorstep .
Nowt against the NY moors but the dales blows it away easily .

Carlton to West burton then go up Morpeth gate as a short but 2hr loop .

I’d not have found some mint routes around the dales if it wasn’t for strava ,simply looking at other lads routes then linking them together etc , routes that you’d never find on google earth/maps etc .
Not into this kudos crap though .

    My friend has the 2015 2 and I’ve got the 2014 4 (upgraded to Pikes/ Monarch Plus , 1×10).

The 2015 2 Fox bits seem decent enough, think the Giant rims are a mission to get sorted tubeless.

Did my giant rims pretty easy on my Anthem sx and used the standard tyres , went on pretty easy tbh .

I strip the bike ready to fit in the bag , then it goes in the boot along with a cheap bike bag I got of ebay , the bag isn’t a solid type so it folds over and hardly takes any room up unlike , this is with 3 suitcase’s as well , the cars a astra estate with the back seats still up .
If I put the bike in the bag it won’t fit in simply because the bag and bike combined is to long , when I get to the airport I simply chuck the stripped bike in the bag which only takes a few mins in the car park .
    So the answers yes .

Why not be sensible with £20k and let him have a little fun with the other £4k?

Life is too short to be sensible all of the time.

I’m not sure the GPS watches will be any more accurate than a phone.

With a lot it is a software setting to alter the sample rate/accuracy.

Barely rode for 6 months now through a bust up septum and sinus blockage {so I look perfectly healthy on the outside} but riding totally kills me atm , so looking back a E bike might have helped me get out , so its hard to judge riders who use them .

All of the riders that I have seen so far do not display any outwardly physical signs of any disabilities.

Er, your linked example is a phone – I’m not sure you’ve proved the point. My Garmin with a baro altimeter has never recorded a climb amount which seemed at all off.

https://www.strava.com/activities/239114756 2 garmins reading a good 50% too much because of a low pressure .

The scenario ‘your 29er has a goosed rear hub , you go out on your obsolete 26″ , ride for 10 hours and clock up 50-60 miles over awesome singletrack etc {grinning from ear to ear] , then and get home think ‘ well that was shit having to ride a obsolete 26″ ‘ ? .

BTW how can anyone mention what pro’s ride ? they get paid to ride what the manufacturer/sponsor give’s them . £££££££
