Any idea if a FSA MegaExo Chainset will fit this frame, or can be made to fit.

I have a spare chainset and its just looking for a new home, it would be rude to let this one go.

We wanted White Corian but it’s too expensive

We have white corian, and your right it was too expensive. Our worktops cost about £5k but when you look at the finished article it was definitely worth it.

how do you get the charcoal lit without some form of starter? I’ve got a lighting chimney but still need something to get it going. Advice welcome…

English charcoal lights very easily. Roll up a couple of pages from a newspaper, put them on the bottom of the coal grid, stack the charcoal on top, light the paper and the coal starts smoking, and that’s it.

we had steak on the barbecue yesterday, 2-3 minutes each side, perfect. Wasn’t crisp at all.

    So What Charcoal is best?

The english stuff I use, you can buy a low rent version of it in Morrisons which is perfectly acceptable, unfortunately you do have to go into morrisons to buy it though.

I’ve had a Dancookfor a couple of years. It still looks great even after being left outside uncovered for several winters.

I use english charcoal with it which you can light with out and fuel so you get a lovely clean taste. The barbecue/charcoal works well and I never end up with charred on the outside/raw inside food.

I had 3 items of mail go missing within a week – reported it to customer services and they put a monitor on my mail which ensures that everything going into the sorting office goes out the sorting office. Which doesn’t make sense to me as it may well be going out the office but its not going through my door.

Yeh wake up around 4:40am at the moment. Not great during the week but at the weekend I’m up and out on the bike early, 3-4hr road ride and home for 9am. Roads are quiet, lots of wildlife about, love it.

Most likely a 52cm for such a short arse 🙂

Decathlon are good value although if you’re spending £300 on a road bike then you may find it difficult to fall in love with it.

I just meant whilst you’re waiting for the shaker, not as a permanent solution – in case you think I was being a smart arse.

I have ordered a shaker but it will be a few days til it arrives, will try the pint pot and a fork method til it arrives.

Empty milk carton, juice carton, water bottle, any vessel with a tight lid, etc.

I’m very interested in this as I’ve set myself a challange of running the west highland way in a day before I turn 5. So going from pretty much non-runner now to endurance runner in four and a bit years.

I do have a lot of people doubting that its possible though but plenty do it so I know I can.

couple of pounds lost this week, which is fine. I wouldn’t worry about putting on a few pounds in a week, I know it can be a bit of a downer but you mind find that if you weigh yourself mid week you’ll have lost a few pounds.

    For example:

    * Trainers not permitted. I wear multi-sport/walking shoes which have attracted complaint until I explain they are not trainers, just fabric shoes.

    * No denim. I wear jean-style trousers made from cotton-duck aka Chinos. These have drawn complaint until I explain that Denim is a specific weave (oblique) and Duck is different (horizontal)

    * Shirt with collar. I wear polo-style T-shirts.

Such a subversaive, man you’re craaaaaazy, fabric shoes eh?

Does anyone think that bans really work?

Generally I would say no as surely everyone has an “in case of emergency’ stw login. Okay the forum username gets banned but they can easily come back under another username. Okay ip addresses can also be blocked but most users probably have access to multiple devices running different ip addresses, which all helps to bulk up the recent ’12 billion’ unique users story 🙂

Lol not a lot but it may ( just may ) have a little bearing on how eager they are to negotiate.

You’re buying a house, not negotiating a take over bid on the company. If you quote company share prices to the sales person they will think you’re an idiot, and bearing in mind you don’t know how to check the trading activity of a company then you may well look very stupid.

Its January, they quite possibly won’t have sold many houses, the sales person has targets to meet.

Junkyard you can quote forum **** all you like but I will still taking the piss out of you and you couldn’t stop biting.

Clearly the forum is a very important, special part of your life and I kind of understand thats why you’re so protective of it. I’ll leave it alone now. Is there an STW equivilant of a knighthood?

Whilst I may have used some inflamattory [ and jokey] langiuage I think my point is largely true and you ar ejust whinging about what is blindingly obvious

You’re taking this way to serioulsy and strugle to see when someone is winding you up. Junkyard you must ask to change your tag to ‘biggest stw fanboy ever’, another £5 but hey-ho.

they get less money from shop sales than direct.

Ohh get you, you’re abviulsy far more into this than I am.

So you’re saying no one buys the mag in the shops?

I do and is its more expensive I contribute more to stw than you do. So looks like you’re the leech.

    The P is not optional.

It was when I was a subscriber.

    pebblebeach

Well for all of you without a P it is a charity – well its a free service- as others are paying for STW and not you

Unless you decide not to bother with the ‘p’ option if you do subscribe or you buy the mag in the shops. So I think that statemnet is complete nonsense.

My wife and I often have to walk the dog in the dark and lately it seems that the cyclists on their way home from work are blinding us both with lights that are so bright we’re often left quite dis-orientated. To add to this these cyclists don’t slow down and we have no idea how close they are and on which side of the path they’re on…often waiting to be ‘mowed down’

Surely as you’re an elderly retired couple you could walk your mutt in daylight?

    No I didn’t mean that.

    But you knew that.

No I didn’t so I still don’t know what you mean by the purpose was to get some money for the classifieds. I thought if you used the classifieds you were supposed to donate to the site and thats what this £5 was all about.

But as above I wouldn’t donate money to a business.

you know the purpose was to get some money for the classifieds, don’t you?

You mean money for people who have used the classifieds, yes I know that.

    Nice little sideline.

Instead of donating £5 to a business for a name change, just give it to charity instead. Maybe Mark could donate whatever they’ve earned from this to charity – I’m sure that would make everyone happy and make those that have paid their £5 look a little less stupid.

Think I’ll go for “forum smart arse” nest week

So will that cost you another £5?

I’m not uppity about it I was just asking why you would do it. I didn’t notice until it was pointed out, but then again the forum isn’t important to me.

    pebblebeach
    Free Member

Because for me at least, it was a reminder that I probably should donate for the classifieds

I suppose its a bit like people who give to charity and wear the t-shirt/badge to show the world that they’re a generous soul.

Esiest money making idea ever. I have an email from a nigerian asking for my bank details, would like like me to send it to you so we can share the $10 million dollars he’s giving me 😉

Some people paid £5 to have their tag changed on a forum for a week? Wow, thats odd. Why would you do that?
