But I wouldn’t as people die every day. If the forum was filled with ‘someone died” posts it wouldn’t be much fun. Fair enough if the OP knows the guy but he doesn’t. Can’t see the point of the post to be honest.

Boy of 15 died yesterday after a fight outside a school, another sad loss but I didn’t feel the need to post about it on a forum.

Nothing to do with maths though is it. 16 miles in 45 minutes is fairly quick, 18mph without busting a gut isn’t realistic on average.

Depends on the wind. But I’d say between 50 and 80 minutes. But there are lots more variables to consider.

on a road bike its pretty easy to average 18 mph without busting a gut

I must have been doing something wrong all these years.

45 mins would be 20mph, that’s pretty good going without trying too hard.

I find it incredible that two very aggressive idiots should be in the same place at exactly the same time. Uncanny.

Or just put the led ones back in.

Tesco stock them but only at £3 each, and when I tried to buy one they refused to sell to me citing some sort of emergency recall. “But we can sell you a box of 4 for £9!”

So are you saying tesco had the bulbs on the shelf then refused to sell them to you?

Sounds like a conspiracy to me, sounds like a plot for a Bourne identity sequel.

I also cant be arsed with the maintaince

Last set of wheels I bought had ‘sealed’ cartridge bearing hubs, the bearings lasted less than 700 miles before they were ****. Any similarly prices cup and cone wheel sets I’ve had the rim wear out before touching the hub.

Can’t help thinking his friend is really losing out. I used to spend most of my time at that age on a bike, how else were we meant to get about?

Losing out on something you like though, he may love football for example and his dad takes him to games, perhaps you dont do that He may think your son is missing out.

Everyone’s different. Each to their own.

Neighbours did that, sprayed the next neighbours downs washing, car, path, etc. Its not as easy as it looks on the ads.

Say my business was insurance, I could say.. change things so that all car claims including a foreign party got routed to someone for approval over a certain value, or change the order in which things get done or something.

That’s incredible, particularly when you also spends an inordinate amount of time on an Internet forum

I find it very hard to believe the police would get involved in something like that.

Well I sold them w week later and the buyer was delighted. Some buses on eBay want a bargain, buy a used item and expect it to be brand new no matter what the description.

He got a refund so no real reason to leave any feedback for that particular item. He didn’t get what he hoped for.

A guy bought some Levi 501’s off me last month, got them then complained they weren’t as described. They were, but it’s not worth the bother so I refunded him the price he paid minus postage which I advised him I would do and he didn’t have an issue with. He sent them back then the tosser gave me neutral feedback which was totally uncalled for.

Solo ones work well for me, never slipped in a couple of years use. You are wearing the knee warmers under your Lycra shorts.

Depends on the conditions, sometimes left, sometimes down the middle, down the outside or just sit in a short queue.

Garish to some but thats just your opinion which is wrong but your entitled to.

Best not take that attitude when you’re talking to the warranty chaps.

Maybe you should have spoken to the warranty people first before declaring ‘cracked cube’ all over the Internet. Warranty people won’t be too pleased if they see this thread.

Could it has been wheeling the bike in and out of the house, that’s creased the tube inbetween the tube and rim?

Unlikely if you still had 30psi in the tyre. Is the tyre sidewall ripped or is it undamaged?

Go to their head office and have a chat with a managing director. Maybe take the car and block in as many of their staff as possible, at about 5oclock should do it. people become suprisingly keen to please when all their staff are kicking off at them.

Probably best to behave in a more mature way to get the issue resolved. Have you paid yet, I’d be expecting a hefty discount. Ask for better quality work tops at no extra cost to you or some other freebies.

I suggest driver has annoyed cyclist somehow, cyclist sees fit to block road in retaliation, passenger gets out to move him.

Does look like the start of porn movie though. (not that I watch them of course)

Set of 105 sti shifters on my commuter – done around 30,000 miles with no issues at all. XT spd’s on my commuter, done over 10,000 ans still very smooth. Chris King headset, done around 20,000 miles and never been touched. This is on a bike ridden all year round and not highly maintained.

Works a treat with an hp wireless printer though. Think mine cost about £60 and has the benefit that it can’t be stuck in a cupboard as it doesn’t need a cable connected to the pc.

I use a lezyne sv10. It’s tiny, around 100g and about the lightest multi tool with a chain tool that I could find. You could go carbon to save another 20g but I don’t think it’s worth the extra £40.

Only other tool I need is one tyre lever, couple of zip ties, gaffa tape round my pump and a small square of groundsheet to patch a ripped sidewall.

Chain tools on their own don’t weigh much less.

It’s a shame that you don’t really get bikes which have both good spec and ride for the money, it’s normally one or the other.

So are you saying you can’t buy a bike with a good spec and a good frame?

20 miles each way, takes between an hour and an hour and a half depending on the wind. Average is 70 minutes.

I’m sure the op is pissed off with the sale situation but I for one am pissed off with the silly bully boy attitude of several posters on here every time the alleged offender posts. They’re behaving like playground bullies.

It’s up to the op to sort it not a group of Internet hard men picking on someone.

I would still use the cadence function but I would just leave the magnet off the back wheel and remove the arm from the sensor as I think it’s just held on with a screw. 100% accurate current speed data doesn’t bother me.

Saw the thread and immediately thought eskdale. My preferred site is the camping and caracen club site though. Love going there can’t wait for our long weekend there in July. Great walking and 2 of my most favourite pubs ever.

Interesting that the op hasn’t bothered his arse coming back to the thread. Angry rant, perhaps only highlighting the ‘bad’ bits of the story and not giving the full picture.
