Been out on the road bike for a couple of hours – 1 bacon roll 1 bacon & fried egg roll. Awesome

I wouldn’t wear team kit myself but good luck to those getting into it and I hope they enjoy it.

Why have people started using the term ‘swap out’ rather than just plain old swap.

Swap out – is it different

eyerideit what make of carbon clipless pedal was it?

It’s forecast to rain on Sunday so I guess that’ll be the end of a fleeting romance for many. Great to see so many people out on bikes this morning, let’s hope some of them stick with it.

Cannondale SuperSix was £2000 now £1390 in my LBS.
Focus Izalco was £2000, now £2200 just about everywhere.

The izalco pro 3 was £2099 at the time of the review and still is. C+ pirinted incorrect price of £2k.

Not on the bike but I do when I’m driving as I see lots of people on bikes do it so it must be okay.

Of course you can, you can do the same with people too.

I recently bought a new bike which is considerably lighter than my other road bike. Both have compact chainsets but I can maintain a much higher cadance on the new bike. I average around 90rpm and spin over 100 easily on the flat. Must be the weight difference I suppose.

A bit like the school playground bully.

The only difference being that they were the ones who were bullied at school.

that’s only if it’s your fault. you are not claiming of YOUR insurance. your insurers are acting on YOUR behalf to claim from the peron responsible i.e. their insurers

Not the case at all, if you made a claim whether your fault or not your premium still goes up. Bizarrely someone crashing into and 100% their fault makes you statistically more likely to have an accident.

and your valve caps are different colours.

Just remove them, valve caps just aren’t cool on a road bike.

I lived in Aberdeen 96/97 when I worked for shell. I loved it up there and would happily move back. I still have a city centre property there and when there are no tenants in it we have very happy weekends in the city. Lots of very good proper mountain biking up there and I used to have some great evening rides from the city centre and up to kirkhill.

Depends what you want I suppose.

Yep, no pics handy. I use a kona jake the snake with road tyres on, 20 miles each way, love it.

I didn’t notice any difference, although no one tried to kill me which is unusual.

Well you’ll be pleased to hear the rapha softshell is water resistant too. Which in my opinion means it resists water till its soaked through.

Eh the castelli is the same price and not waterproof either.

I’ve only used them once to buy a bmx, had exactly the same experience as the op. called them as I had no order confirmation and got the ‘oh hold we’ve got one in the warehouse we’ll send it today’, never used them again.

Not even a little bit more than the competition

Rapha kit is pretty similar in price to its competition. Jerseys are £100 ish, not generally £180.

I’m not sure how happy it will be being ridden by me

Um it’s a bike, it’s not going to be happy of sad. Just enjoy it and don’t worry what anyone else thinks ( not that they do think about you on your bike)

No need for sky to spice it up but maybe some of the other teams should give it a go. British rider 1st and 2nd and 4 stage wins is fairly good going.

As its based on bmi then it doesn’t make sense on a personal level but fine as a comparison.

    My results

Lower than 87% of uk males 30-44
    Lower than 58% ol world

    I’m from brunei apparently.

With my pre holiday weight it would be 92%/67% and I’d be in Mali just now

Just passed your test, 3 litre car, now I’m sure that you think you’re a great driver since you passed in 10 lessons but I can see your first car getting wrapped round a tree.

Quattro with winter tyres would be awesome for the weekly Glencoe jaunts.

Really, you done much driving on snow then?

Look at some Internet net prices and take them to the dealer, go to two dealers and play them off against each other, try to get interest free credit even if you planned on paying cash, and as above be prepared to walk away if the deal doesn’t suit.

I use it and don’t find it a fact at all. I’ve lost just under 9 kilos over the last 5 months and id have struggled to do that without using a food diary.
