You’d think so, but a simple bar and stem combination would’ve done the trick!

Believe so, the second a hairline crack appeared on my Superfly Trek had sent me out a new 2016 Frameset. All arrived within two weeks. Maybe I’m the anomaly, but 4 months sounds crazy to me…

I suppose so, but I guess customer service will be the thing that will keep people using retailers, online or not! I have a good friend with a YT Noton who cracked his frame and had to wait 4 months for a replacement read triangle. Totally ruined his season bless.. There’s only so much these direct sale companies can do. Will be a really interesting one to see how Trek cope with their new strategy, however their prices will still be sky high,

Definitely don’t rush, after I ruined my back I got back on it alittle too soon thinking I was king sh*t before finding out very quickly it isn’t as easy as you think.

Lots of little rides, little and often. I got out doing about 1-3 miles to begin with, now 6 months later I’m back doing my regular 40 mile loop no dramas.

Ease your way back in 🙂

I ride both quite happily, smaller platform on my Superfly and larger on my longer travel play bike.

Large platform is great for balance or foot positioning but I’ve noticed either work just ask well as long as your cleats are set as they should be.

Small platforms work fine also, just a little less comfortable!

I actually went 1×11 XTR on my Superfly, and in honesty hated it.

Really missed the range in gears, spinning was so much harder also, we specially when just wanting to cruise up hills.

Still experimenting though, don’t thing my ratios are too flattering either,

Amazing pictures- My son is taking a gap year from September onwards, and this should definitely be on his list! What riding is most common out there? Steep tech, or more flowing style?

Manuals are wicked man, especially when you ride by a skatepark Lycra clad and still show the cool kids what’s up! 😆

In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a Trek.

Their X-Cal, and even Superfly smashes it everytime.

That being said, I’ve heard very good things from Canyon though! Spec value to money is mental!

It’s a strange one in honesty, I’ve been riding hard All mountain, and National downhill for a few years now and have taken an absolute beating but when I was riding locally last Nov I made a mistake, and broke my spine. It’s easy to be complacent about these things, especially when riding locally but it’s always better to stay on the focused end of the spectrum wherever you ride. Equally, don’t ride scared every outing! Otherwise you might end up on your backside alittle more than anticipated! 😉
