I have the homecare contract with bg and find most of the engineers are very good at fixing problems ,but a few are inexperienced and think flushing a system will cure the problem ,in most case,s the flushing engineer will not carry out/charge for the work ,there,s good :-)and bad 👿 in most trades
Blocked plate/main heat exchanger ,thermostat/thermistor fault,diverter valve passing,gas valve running on low stage ,shower valve passing , oh and its a an alpha boiler !! the list is endless ,call a gas safe engineer
postierich/grum how long is this ride ? how long are the climbs(i don,t mind but will have 14 yr old with me who done gisburn without moaning too much!)will there be loads of walkers to run over ?

Some excellent replies ,but it may be to late !!!the wife and eldest (19yrs) are off to oxford to have a look at a english bulldog 3 yrs old, for £100 which i,m told is cheap ,the owner is going back to asia and its going to cost him at lot to take it with him ,I have shown them this post and talked it through,someone is at home most times and the eldest is not going at holiday with us so no worries there,I will keep you posted !!
