Don’t know if that link will work or if it’s of any use.

Wonder how much marine oil is used shipping the green fuel over from Canada?

Not the whole film but the bit in in War of the Worlds when the storm starts and the tripods appear I think is brilliant!

Got wildlings and they look like elf shoes, my go to are my xero ones, I wear them to work and it’s like having out door slippers on, great things.

Swap them left for right and you have a handy place for a different hand position on long rides!

@julians thanks for that, I think I need to get myself down to the local shop and have a good chat with the staff and see what their experience has been with ones that have passed through the workshop, and maybe just stop over thinking things!

@julians what’s your thoughts on the exe, would you recommend and do you ever think you would have been better with a full power e-bike? Curious as they have pricked my interest recently especially as there’s decent discounts on the go.

    Cheers.

Got a gen2, use for Zwift and it works great. Only problem is I can’t get comfortable on it, tried different saddles and positions and about 45mins is my limit before my arse gives in. If I could get comfy it would be ace.

Fort William train drivers have been getting trained this week on driving 153 units that can carry more bikes so hopefully they will enter service sometime soon on the West Highland line. They have been used on the Oban line last season.

Mine are usually all 42psi, today with the cold they’re all 38psi, I’ll leave them as is for now as they with creep back up with the temperature, as long as they all show about the same I’m happy enough.

I’d give my wife half, then if she stayed around it wouldn’t be for the money.

My favourite just now is Monkey Shoulder, failing that Bushmills, over ice and 50/50 with Fever Tree ginger ale. Don’t like whisky any other way.

Never got my head round posting pics on here, but got a pair of Wildlings in the post, looking forward to giving them a go.

It doesn’t like starting on my iPad in landscape, need to rotate to portrait then back to landscape and it seems to work better, I’m not a fan so far.

Use onza ones from the 90’s on riser bars, can’t imagine ever being without them, great for bashing through overgrown tracks.

Have a 6 sapphire, used for a couple of years now, battery life is brilliant and it’s a great bit of kit, but I’m lucky if I use 10% of what it can do. I would say have a proper think of what you need from a watch and let that lead your choice, or to hell with sensible and just get a fenix because life’s too short and they are cracking!

Had some on my bokeh, thought they were pretty good, certainly felt faster, however they were loosing air tubeless with the zipp gravel tyres, took the tyres off to run an extra bit of tape round the rims to make them a bit tighter when I noticed that the rear rim had cracks along the rim edge on the rear wheel, this was only after 4 rides so they were sent back for a full refund. I have since decided to stick with the original hunt 650’s, don’t think I’d bother again as nice as they were, once bitten twice shy.

Sign here says “Frustration causes accidents” I don’t think it’s suitable to be playing board games of any kind while driving, Kerplunk would be a disaster.

In Lochaber too, don’t know any different so unlikely to ever leave. The weather gets me down but when it’s nice it’s magic. Seems to have been pretty crap for the last wee while with no sign of it getting better anytime soon!

Slightly off topic but the horrors of hand to hand combat brought to mind the Battle of the shirts, the casualty rate was incredible and the loss of men to communities must have been a huge blow. Worth a google.

Just checked our nest box after reading this, haven’t seen the parents for the last week, all that was in the nest was one dead dried up chick, never seen any evidence of any other chicks so I guess the nest failed, I was looking forward to seeing a handful of fledglings. Question what to do with the nest box now, do you leave the nest in place for winter or clean it out?

Get electric powered ones with a USB port down the side, had one for 5 years and it’s brilliant 🤩

I went from x ultra 3 to 4s and I preferred the 3s, plus my 4s have started to stink of cat’s piss when they get damp/wet. I don’t have a cat! I also could do with finding a decent replacement, before the 3s my go to was hedgehogs.

Had an umbilical hernia, started off the size of the end of my little finger, lasted a couple of years till one day felt like I was punched in the guts and it became the size of the end of my thumb. 12 weeks later had an op to fix it, cut straight across the bellybutton, took it easy for a couple of weeks and all was good, three years have passed and get the occasional niggle but might just be internal scarring? Pretty much back to normal apart from realising I’m not immune to life anymore. Trying to go to the loo after the op was let’s say interesting! Very worried in case I ripped my knitting.

I get them sometimes, peripheral vision goes all Scooby Doo, paracetamol and a 10 minute chill out sorts them.

We now have 3 grown up kids, but had a miscarriage at try 2 & 4, for me the hardest part was coming out of the hospital after the first one and phoning the grand parents to let them know, my wife struggled being in a ward with other expectant mums knowing that her baby hadn’t survived and was getting an op the next day to remove it, horrible times but you move on, though never forget.

Similar been on x-ultra 3 for years also, got a pair of 4’s a couple of months ago and they were fine till they suddenly started honking of cat’s piss, and we don’t have a cat! Had trainers years ago do the same but I’ve never had it in years of wearing salomons, I avoid wearing them now because of the stench!
