Have 714, awsome fast up and down light and very efficient. Great trail bike. Dont think you can go wrong with a Zesty for all day big rides, trail center rides etc. Bike mags seem to agree. Spend most of my weekends Afan, Cmn carn Quantocks Forest Dean etc. Mine weighs 26lbs – so you would be shedding 9lbs – phew and I suspect the Zesty has a sharper head angle so is an easier bike to throw around the trails.

I moved to Maxxis this Jan and I'm a convert. High Roller 2.35 front Advantage 2.1 rear – great trail center setup. That HR never lets go no matter how hard you honk in to the corners. XC Enduro? Dry – Crossmark F&R if its a bit more wet Advantage front Crossmark rear would be my choice.

We organized and booked our own holiday in Japan and was stuck in Dubai for 6 days on the way back. Airline paid for hotel, food and drinks. We had a great extra holiday at nearly no cost. Lovely hotel apartment with gym and pool. Kids missed some school and we lost some wages. I know some people had some very bad experiences but I cant complain. All part of the fun when your traveling.

same here at Cmwcarn but weather turned out brilliant :-)Fairly sheltered trail. Was in two minds whether to go or not because of the weather. Glad I did. Maybe cheeky one tomorrow morning ;-)

Being UST no issues with tyres and slime though LOL believe me UST is the way to go. Fit and forget the issues of punctures.

have to say I fear women drivers every near miss so far has been woman driver. The school run or shopping or late for work I guess. They just don't seem to be aware of whats around them. This week coming up to pass a T junction on commute to work I saw this woman who clearly wasnt stopping at the T junction so I did. It wasnt until she was half way in the road did she see me and I got the the usual look of shock and oh god I didn't see you. What sort of driver dosent stop at a marked T junction>?

Zesty 714. Just back from Cwmcarn mmmm so fast. If you have to take one weapon to a fight?

Anyone who tells you that a hard tail is best for trail centers are bonkers. Yes they are perfectly capable but 140mm FS is just so much faster and loads more fun. Fun is after all what we want?

<digs trench awaiting incoming flames from the STW Al-Qaeda hard tails users no fun sect>

You only get problems from using non UST rims and tyres. How can you need 40psi with a UST setup? My UST run fine with zero issues with 25 psi and they could easily go lower. Go real UST and latex inside it works fine and you get all the benefit and none of the problems.

What gets me about these thefts that in nearly all cases they are are not random. Its clear that:

    know where the bikes are
    know what expensive bikes are
when the bikes will be in the garage
come equipped to take them so they have a van or car parked nearby
spend sometime around the premises waiting to see its safe to go in
have a buyer for the bike

Conclusion must be they get the information somewhere or somehow? There is a security leak. You can put your self in the shoes of the thief and ask yourself how would you do it?

Is our address connected to our bike – LBS, Forums, MBC?
Is someone looking at your movements?
Do you ride the bike from home?
    Someone follow you?
Someone in your street see you ride the bike?

I am finding going to the gym regularly is really improving my riding. I weigh less and I have improved my core stability. Having dropped 6kg since last October in weight I can see the difference in my riding. Save your money on that 50gram light seat post or 200gram lighter wheels and invest in some fitness and save 6000grams of real weight off your bike!

Got LUST 2.2 on the back 25psi runs great never had a problem (78kg guy). Kam 40psi tubeless, sounds a lot or was that ghetto? Even with tubes I ran them at 30psi.

Done Prince2 and APM. Both are very good project management methodologies. APM is by far the more technical course. Prince2 is ideal for more controlled environments. APM is IMHO a better methodology for pm. Prince2 qualification needs renewing every 5 years by resitting the exam which is a bit of a con.

Lean is about doing more with less resource by continuously eliminating waste within the process. Agile pm is a less structured approach to software development.

Most people seem more dissatisfied with their jobs or relationship and they think by moving its going to improve? Maybe they need to sort those things out first. Lived in several places abroad for 15+ years. UK is still home to me I struggled and made it here thanks, I think its still a fine country.

I would go Zesty rather than X control for that sort of riding.

Sounds like (pardon the pun) time for a bushing/bearing change. I would change the lot. Best to do it right away before it damages your frame or shock.

Sympathy mate but Top Tip here is never give your address out. Meet somewhere neutral with plenty of people around. Its like advertising what you have to steal and a top end bike means there's more there to. We all have more than one bike and loads of gear and kit stashed with the bike.

Sorry I'm sure your gutted, I would be too but I take my security seriously. I wouldn't post me mob number either on a forum.
