Define stupidity? So no you can’t charge. You charge for all rescues or none. Agree with the above. Keep it free not based on your ability to pay.

If you ride in the rain its ace. But if your a fair weather rider check out the perfecto. It has a breathable back. I found the gabba waterproof front and back too hot. Perfecto has gabba front breathable back. Comes in long and short sleeve.

Sons an optician and I have glasses. You just try on as many as you like and then choose.

The guy that serves you is qualified to fit the glasses to the frames the frames to your face adjust etc. Nothing to think about except how you look.

Only need mine for reading so no idea about MTB. If you don’t need them for driving then Id guess you don’t need them for MTB IMHO.

The look is up to you.

DHF/R2 2.35 are great combo for hard riding, bike parks and uplift days. Great grip on rocks. I’m using DHF2/HR2 and Hans Damf Rear at the moment. Wanted to try HD. A good rear tyre IMHO.

For the winter I will be HR2 as they grip and clear better. Forest, mud and roots.

More grip? Run lower pressures ;-)

Been riding a medium,5’8″ since 2014. Demo a large which was same top tube length as my medium Zesty. So don’t get to hung up on size. Geometry is a series of compromises. For me I wanted manoeuvre. I haven’t found any issues descending. I’m running a 65mm stem which gives me a very good fit. The trend is to have short stems, maybe that was the problem?

You need specific cover and carry the proof on you. It must cover rescue, and repatriation. Consider the cover you need if you have a big off. I get annual cover for multiple trips.

Remember to carry into you as they will ask for it,credit card or cash deposit.

I use dogtag, they also cover MTB race cover if required. I’m sure there are others equally good.

I find the main advantage of GPS Garmin over a map is I don’t need to stop and get a map out. Also you can have multiple routes on your device. Ideal for pre downloading trail onto your map. Its easy to follow them and if you go off route you can see the route on the GPS. I’ve got 800 1000 and 650 Garmin. If your looking for a recommendation Id go for the 1000. I had OS mapping for 800 but now only use 1000, maps better, display size and detail also much better. Maps are updated via web and cover whole of Europe. Ive not had any issues with my 3 Garmins they have endured full emersions and are still going strong :-) I use the 650 with double aa battery’s abroad on long distance stuff where charging facilities are suspect.

I run xt. If the oils old and black it needs replacing. Its mineral so will break down. Otherwise mines done 4 years plus. Just bleed them every six months or so slap new pads in and they’ve never let me down. I do ride regularly and I think that makes a lot of difference. Like your car if its used regularly tends to go for ever. Leave it sat around and ……

Oakley’s with the trail lenses work perfect. I have one set of eyes I intend keeping them. Essential? Keeps the dog shit, branches and brambles etc away. I wear them on the road to keep the bugs and crap out of my eyes.

Can I ask any IPhone 6 users if the Bluetooth works well with your phone in camlbak? Wondering if distance and bag material stops Bluetooth. Recommended in the ear earphones?

I won’t be going back to tubes on my road or MTB bike. I know what the advantages are having used them since 2010.

Why not experiment ? Buy the wheels and some tubeless tyres? Give them a try.if you don’t like them run them until their worn out and go back to tubes. You e not lost anything.

Dial your xt leavers closer to your bar. You will find it easier to modulate them.

    Got 800 and 1000.

    Pros
    Bigger screen
    Maps for Europe
    Connects to phone
    Maps updated for free
Auto upload of activity wifi or phone
Has lots of navigation aids, like locations, local services without Internet

Overal I’m pleased with my 1000. I use it for long distance navigation and for that it’s perfect. 800 still in use but just to record MTB rides which it does very well. Depends what you use it for. Just used mine to go from Piisa to the Alps. Even used it to search and navigate to nearest restaurant when local one was closed. If you just use it to record stuff don’t bother to upgrade

I have one, I ride it. Its the bike I love why would I ride something less?

Happens after a big ride its caused by the stress on the body. Cut the length of big rides and build some base – more smaller rides more often. Once you build some base up you can easily extend your rides without the sleep problem.

If it persists see your GP.

Ive got hearing aids. Went private but now NHS. NHS ones are brilliant. And cost nothing. Private can cost upwards of £4000. And if their hearing deteriorates further will need bigger ones and pay again. It can become very very expensive.

Remember Zwift power HR zones etc are guides. Use them intelligently. Their based on averages and may not reflect your personal weight, height, power, body shape or fitness. They are at best ‘approximate’.

I use Zwift and Ive dumped HR zones for power. It was over complicating getting fit. Power is way more accurate and, as you have seen, you can see the increases your training brings as your FTP increases. Something I couldn’t do with HR year on year.

    Ride on!

well done you hit all the main areas, fair bit out there isn’t there. Good stuff too.

when you inflate them and put your stans in pressure to 40psi to male sure there well seated and leave overnight then let down to 20psi. This makes sure they are well seated. Stans rims are brilliant they go up so easy. Never had issue with tyres coming off the rims even below 20psi.

Id go for crash replacement and wouldn’t ride that. Your neck not mine. A few days off riding isn’t important.

you got the tacky version – that sounds about right. I tried them and they wear out quickly. Not intended for general use unless you have deep pockets IMHO. I use the other compound its fine.

They are my go to tyre year round. I run mine at 20 psi – lower in winter ;-)

Go to Mallards pike. The ridge to the east. As you enter, cross the cattle grate and go through the gate in front of you. 200m you see the end of Wookies the main trail. All the trails run off that one. Forest track to right through gate for about 300m then take take an obvious steep climb up. You’ll pass loads trails on your climb. Follow nose and good luck. I’d show you but I’m busy all weekend.
