Got a second hand Team Boardman comp – brilliant bike, great spec. Given me lots of great hours on the road.

Strive ESX9 £2629? Great spec 160mm travel. Been looking at these myself. Should go up hill well with that geo.

If your fat loose weight biggest quickist gain. You need a high power to weight ratio.

Short hills – attack flat out out high cadence, carry speed zoom climb!
Long hills – climb within areobic zone

Granny ring isnt the best climbing gear, 2nd and third much better even for technical

Gym – leg press, aim to develop reps pressing x 2 body weight
Turbo – low cadence high resistance

Canyon and Rose prices are very good value for money. But there are pros and cons. I have looked at Strive and Uncle Jimbo. Impressive spec but no demo, difficult to find any reviews.

    Covert Carbon = £5k
    Spicy 916 = £5K
    2013 Spech Enduro = £7k-8K

If your in the AM/Enduro field then the above are very similar price wise, spec and geo. Time for a covert demo I think.

TBH I dont think a few grams make much difference its how a bike rides thats important. I dont notice the reverb given how the added improvement

Yup top tip for Trans enduro rides is have a shoe you can walk in 🙂 Spesh Tahoe for me. Also helps to know how to carry your bike. A lot havent worked that out. Trans alps had a lot of the euro xc guys. Flat bars and walk down the steep bits but very fast.

Alp, Garda, Dolomites, Provence, Pyrenees versus Wales in the wet? Just back from Andorra. No issues with Wales ride their all the time but 🙂

How was Trans pyr? Quality of riding and event etc

I also feel that bang for buck the trans whatever are better value.

BM3D cant compare to trans Pro or Alps. But if you can do the BM3D then you should be ok for trans whatever. Fitness is key though as is well maintained reliable bike.

Tend to use trail centres when its muddy, they tend to have good all weather surfaces. Wet but not too muddy.

Cant see the point in wearing out large amounts of expensive bike for little pleasure.

Dibbs, fully agree and understand and thank you for your work. I do enjoy thrashing down the combs and trying out the more DH stuff. TBH the Quantocks access works well I have never had any issues with anyone else using the area whatever the form of transport.

Not sure there any problems but I can see more and more people wanting to use these areas. I think its important that the genuine law abiding people remain unhindered in their access. Those carrying out criminal damage should be brought to justice.

Vandalism is done by people. Let’s not tar us all with the same brush. If vandalism happens then the forestry commission should deal with the individual. Not ban or restrict everyone. It’s too easy to just make sweeping generalisations about groups of people.

Better access and improved car parking
    Trail marking

Think you should tell them its pretty good as it is before any one paticular interest group starts to rock the boat. I got no complaints really or ideas how you can improve natural trails.

    Keep access open to all

Run HR2 2.4 on stans rims no issues. Just pump them up to 45psi and leave over night using latex. Never had one burp!

Don’t grease bushes. Change bushes, bottom bracket. Also grease headset. The spacers can creak. Give the drive side RH chain stay a good pull. You might see obvious movement. Just changed mine after 2.5 years.

Think the HR2 is a great tyre for winter or Alp conditions with LUST 2.35 on the rear. Lots of people running that set up here in Andorra, vallnord bike park. Run 2.25 Ardents in the summer. Last day to day on some natural trails with guide. Great riding here in bike park or on the trails.

I have a HR 2 tubeless. Make sure rim is clean and smear the tyre rim with some latex. Then snap on and pump to 45psi. Went up easy with trackpump. You should hear some real cracks as you pump up and it seats. Spin wheel while pumping to get latex to all areas. Leave over night at 45psi. I then run mine at 20ps. Perfect 🙂 I assume you have tubeless rims not some bodge.
