Used mine for touring, commute, winter training. Great bike 6 years old now. Flat bars disk brakes panniers.

I bought a second hand Boardman road this year. Very pleased.

Sealant should be changed every 6 months. Reuse – false economy. I have second wheel set with more agressive setup on for gnar ha ha

I kinda run maxxis Ardents all year TBH

I do, however, use proper UST rims & tyres. No weight saving, just no flats and more grip. win/win imo.

Never had a problem, just back from Andorra Val Norrd. I run Maxxis LUST 20 – 25psi.

If you don’t need gps then Polar 200cad at £100 is far better value? Plus the online training diary is a lot better than Garmin.

Going to need mmore than 4.5K for a Carbon Covert + build. More like £6K for frame + build. Nice bike though, be good to see how it handles next year. Its all about the ride.

I have 2010 version. For me it’s been a brilliant bike. Just change the BB for a good one. It’s just Klingon. I’ve done Trans alps, bike parks, 12,24 hour solo on it. Italy, Vietam, Spain, Andorra. Can say its very light weight and capable up and down. I have added dropper post, Havoc 55mm stem and 710mm bars. Run maxxis Ardent LUST. Just changed bearings after 2.5 years and on mileage that’s pretty good. I’m just waiting for 2013 version.

For me it how the bike works as a package. I need a do it all bike from bike park, enduro, trail centre, solo 24 to mtb touring. Remember it’s also about the rider. Zesty is fast down and up 😉

You get the same sticky label reciept you get with a normal bag stuck to your passport. Dont lose it 🙂 Best to check bike weight. Mine with bag and odd items = 24kg.

+1 Trekster I have see how they handle luggage and if you go the cheap option beware you might lose the entire holiday because of damaged to your bike. Its just not worth it.

MD no you book a sports bag then turn up with your bike in bag. They don’t supply anything. I use Evoc, great bag and easy to use if you fly often. One off? Try the chain reaction one. It’s good enough. I don’t bother with checking on luggage. I have 35litre back pack and get everything in that. Helmet shoes camelbak in bag. Don’t forget some lube and the tools to reassemble the bike.

Letting agency is letting you down. They need to more thorough checks. I would find another agency. I have used Black Hourse over a number of years and never had late payment or dispute. Tenants were always well vetted.

Maxxis Ardent 2.25 LUST both ends 20psi 90% of my rides, Wales, Trail Centres, Europe. Really muddy? I run a 2.4HR II upfront tubeless and 2.35 LUST on rear.

I have thought about the TACX multi player but there dosent seem much info on it? Any experience? The training software looks good but few actual use it to race on line?

Low heart rates arent a problem until they reach 30 and you ‘grey’ out (lack of blood to brain) and you loose your vision. At that point you need pace maker ha ha 🙂 Mines set to low of 45 but doc said it could be set lower if I needed.

You could also have an irregular heart rate rhythm which can be caused by virus or illness.

Turbo works m8. Great when the weather is bad and you can do a really good session. No traffic or anything else to get the way. Mines in front room in front TV 😉 I use HRM and zone training.

Zesty 714 2010 owner from new. Best bike so far I have owned. 5′ 8″ short legs medium with 50mm stem 710mm bars, perfect position.

Bottom bracket gets water in it and needs changing every year. Back end didnt need changing until after 2.5 years. Given my mileage I think its amazing. It’s been everywhere from Trans alps to Andorra and maxi avalanche course val norrd.

I think 714 is best bang for buck IMHO between 514 – 914. Frames are all the same just cling ons different.

Please go and see your doctor. Let the experts advise you not a bike forum. I have pace maker so know what I’m talking about. REST will not solve the problem. The longer you delay the more risk you run. Hopefully it is nothing. I still train like a mad man, pace maker isnt an issue.

I dont deflate mine. No need everything is pressurised. Keep them inflated and it will protect your rims from damage.

my thoughts to bren2709. Hard to define fun. I think we all have our own opionions. I quite like climbing but I doubt many would class that as fun 🙂 I keep that to myself as Im a rabid down hill fun seeker OFC
