Super easy to bleed takes 5 mins tops. That’s all it needs. There’s a rebound speed adjuster on the leaver maybe reset that too.

Bin them then buy some XTs

Most manufactures seem to be able to spec the bikes well below the RRP cost of buying them separately in my experience. A frame only option makes sense if your transferring from one bike to another.

Just ride with bib shorts now. Gave up on MTB shorts when I realised it was just a fashion thing. Bibs cooler and don’t snag like shorts. When it’s wet and cold in the winter I dig out my endura shorts to go ove the top.

As someone said if you need to constantly use the 42t ring because of the riding or your just unfit fat guy then change the front ring. Normally a 32t ring at the front is fine. Personally I won’t be swapping back to nine or ten speed the simplicity and advantages of 1 x 11 are just great for trail riding.

you should eat what you train on otherwise you run the risk of your body getting upset by the sudden influx of new food. Not ideal on a long race. Hence Im not a gel fan

Sport bag can’t exceed 32kg. Hold bag is limited to 20 kg. 22kg hold bag will get you excess baggage cost

    Pawsy_Bear

You pay for a sports bag which gives you 32kg. If you want a hold bag 20kg as well you can add that. Flown three times this year with easy jet

    Well said disco duck
It’s the old self righteous post here ‘I only spent X on my bike so I’m morally superior’. They ofc forget the context. Thier £1000 or £3000 bike is just as unattainable for someone on the minimum wage. I retired and treated myself to a new bike and have enjoyed reading articles on all bikes regardless of cost.

Surely it’s up to me how I spend my money? Why should anyone else care?

Bronson c here great bike. Not owned a Nomad so won’t speculate. Why not demo both for say a weekend. Worked for me then I was sure it was the right bike for me.

Once they stopped full time education yes they paid. Reality check. But only after they had finished education. Seemed reasonable. That was our house rules. Yours may be different

I went the Evoc route too, just so much easier packing and unpacking and if you go regularly abroad with your bike it makes a lot of sense.

Bronson c 150mm both ends 26.62 inc pedals, HR2 tyres, XT brakes, no dropper (yet). As above its not the bike its 90% rider

Define ‘real world MTB weights’? = its just the bike you ride

I found more traction on the ups, cornering and rolls better but I dont think there is a huge difference. But enough

I agree with you. I’m not saying it’s her fault. But like all these news stories I’d think you’d agree we don’t have all the facts. My moral compass is fine I’m just not jumping to conclusions having worked in these areas the truth is not always what is published in the media. She has transgressed their laws wether we agree with their laws or not. She also has a way out. I for one in her position would take the easy way out for the sake of my children.

We also need to read the story of the woman and ask a few questions. What’s she doing there? Is she trying to make a religious point? She’s married to an American. I remember the 19 Japanese Christians distributing Christian literature in Iraq. The were captured and killed. And to stop the sentence she need only renounce her faith and then she can leave the country and join her husband. A temporary small price to pay rather than armed intervention from the west.

BTW I don’t agree with what their government is doing but feel a peaceful solution is achievable and it’s within her gift to resolve

I was suggesting we don’t know all the facts and it’s their country, a sovereign state. Just happens that your outraged at what you believe is unacceptable. That’s a subjective view. I don’t find Turkeys invasion of Cyprus and their ethnic and religious repression acceptable or Russia’s destabilising the Ukraine. That’s also subjective. But I’m not advocating escalating to armed intervention or sanctions. Your whole argument is based on your own personal values. Where do we stop? What about Saudi and Bahrain or Iran?

I’m sure the points been made that it’s their country and what right have we in imposing our western values and way of life. Opinion generated as always from the comfy chair at home with no understanding of others and their deeply held beliefs. Intervention just makes us the targets and sanctions just hurt the people.

Want to. Influence what goes on? Then use diplomacy, support and engagement at all levels of the government and people. Be seen as supportive and change can happen.

We need to be to be more tolerant and understanding

Check the advice on here. Some who locked themselves in for 5 years have been paying at least 1% over the lower 2 year deals. Then suggesting to do the same again just means they are going to pay 0.6% over current best 2 year deals. Not sound advice. If you buy yourself out of a mortgage your just throwing your money away. Shorter ones allow you to exit early after 2 years. 3.5%!is 1% above the better 2 year rates.

I’d take 2 year. Re mortgaging after the period with same provider is free normally. Yes rates will go up at some point but I expect a slow increase. I don’t think their going to sky rocket. Bank of England also doesn’t expect a rise and any rise will be slow. Shorter mortgage periods are cheaper.

OW about 0.3m x 0.45m x 0.6m or foot wide, 18 inches tall by about 2 foot long in old money 🙂 Plug lead is short you might need an extension. Assembly 2 mins. Note close valve on tank. Switch on build pressure in tank. Blow up damn tyre on Roam rim. Comes with all you need and I used it straight out of the box it has free tools for tyres, painting and blowing. All I needed was a presta valve converter.

OW got the £99 Stanly one from screw fix. Worked fine. I took valve out blew the tyre to crack. Valve back in blew up fine. Comes with some useful tools as well. I can see me painting the garden fence in the future with this baby.

Northwind up to now I have used stans ZTR rims and maxxis tubeless etc all go up fine with pump.

Switched to 1 x 11 and a Roam 50 rear for the free hub etc. Rear tyre needs garage every time. I believe its the roam.

Bronson C did the demo bought the bike. Impressed. 27.5 improves traction. Pikes and XT brakes are great. Fox shock fine, no issues. The large was same size as my medium zesty. Bought a medium and not regretted it it’s more low slung and better in corners
