I’d agree Cougar but it also means that those who haven’t bought the film etc can down load a pirated copy which is the more likely scenario

Surely not having anything to hide is the point? Seems tor is more useful to the criminal element. So why would tor be useful to the normal law abiding citizen? I saw no convincing arguments for its use. And if GCHQ is monitoring the data to protect me I’m happy their tracking down to terrorists. I’m also not convinced that a piece of software invented by the US government is actually 100% secure. I thought the programme was pretty light, lots of conspiracy theory

Should be fine if thier new from 2013. You can off set failure by good regular maintenance. Before huge race such as Trans Portugal I have new cassette, chain and rings plus cables. Put them on a few weeks before and bed them in. I make sure my chain is well oiled. I carry small amount of oil and re oil the chain mid way. Takes only a few seconds. New tyres as well such as Maxxis. Weight savers such as nobby nics etc aren’t durable enough IMHO. I found mechs and shifters last me about three years. Hubs and BBs are checked regularly and serviced. Add good cadence and early shifts so your not over stressing the mech you should get through without any problems.

It’s an investment but I normally aim to wear out what I got to coincide with the race as part of the pre race prep plan. Yes I think about and plan it months ahead. All in all it’s just good regular maintenance.

Agree FoD, Cwm Carn Afan. Blade and W2 at Afan great combo and my favourite.. FoD enduro track is a much unused gem, unmarked but gpx. You can explore further to find more single track all user made. DH is fun too

Cracked pump means it wasn’t bled before use causing it to overheat. When you start your washer make sure the it’s off and you fire the hose until it runs air free. Then turn electric on and clean away. My karcher runs flawlessly thanks.

you push it through with the tool then pull it back through the same hole making 4 bits of it sticking out. Its easy then to unhook the tool. Cut and your finished.

As you put on 20kg monitor that reduction is important . That’s like cycling up hill with an extra bike and half!!

Well HRM can help if used in conjunction with the online training diary at recording your monthly training. It will keep count of the mileage calories burnt etc and allow you to set goals and is a honesty check. There’s no bluffing your training diary, you either put the mileage in or not. Your heart rate at this stage would be secondary to time, mileage.

I use a couple inch strip of Buff around my forehead. Works a treat at stopping sweat going in to my eyes. There great at wicking sweat away and dry in the wind. Not hot either as there just a band of material

<I wouldnt have either as I think they are both hugely expensive for what they are>

So you ride a bike purely based on the price?

Remember your best laid plans will have to fit in with changes in your life, marriage, divorce, children, redundancy, ill health. But not having a plan is a plan to fail. Any plan will work as long as you stick with it.

as I mentioned earlier I made the leap to retirement. I also down sized my house etc to minimize my out goings on council tax, heating etc etc

It makes your pension go a lot further. Seems like obvious advice but includes some tough decisions about down sizing or in my view sensible changes as you embark on your new life

I did buy a new mountain bike though 🙂

as someone who is using his pension I cant recommend it highly enough, its a whole new life
