You might want to look around to the other bike shops who build up Bronsons to your exact spec they are cheaper IMHO. That’s how I did mine and I could spec everything. Ask for quotes, you actually save money as you don’t then need to swap out bars or stems later

I vote for the party I think will be best for the country based on their policies, leadership and ability to deliver. Even with good policies if they are led by an charismatic or incompetent leader, lack the size and expertise to govern then they are never going to deliver any significant change or benefit

I tend to use mine like a garage specifically for the stuff I cant do, book the bike in for a specfic service/fix etc. I dont expect them to stock a whole 1 x 11 chain set. Their very good if you talk to them, agree what you want, price and time in advance. On occasion they have said you buy it on line as its cheaper and we’ll fit it for you. Once you put regular business their way a good shop will develop a good relationship with you.

Evoc. Medium Bronson fits, TBH Evoc are the industry standard. MTBs dont fit in all bike boxes.

Evoc not hard but great bag, tough and easy to move

Make it enjoyable, coffee stop, lunch in the dry nice B&B weekend or hotel with dinner etc etc etc Its not rocket science. Hire a decent full sus. I took my daughter to CyB. Never ridden MTB before. Hotel, good food. First day was tution on site on hard tail by local trail guy. Basics, blues, cornering braking etc I also joined in the class too. Second day I hired her a full sus and we together we did some more blues then a very easy short bit of red. Lunch in cafe etc etc She never fell off and has since converted to MTB.

Not in the rain, mud, crap hire bike, freezing cold, no tuition. Not as a first ride. TBH the issue is with you and taking someone out in challenging conditions. I’ve seen this approach (sink or swim) a few times it dosent work. Once she’s intrested then suggest you both go on a days tuition – its not for you its for her – be there and enjoy it.

You bought a large then Steveh? I decided the shorter medium suits me better. I’m 5’8″.

Medium here, I test rode a large as that was all they had which was the same size as my Zesty medium top tube wise. Plus one for the comments above, very quick and easy to move about on the trail. I noticed most difference in the corners, the VPP seemed to suck the bike down on to the trail. As above, try before you buy. I road the demo bike for a weekend on my local trails to make sure it was the right bike for me and it gave me a direct comparison – feel if you like between the Zesty and SC. Still have the Zesty, still a great bike to ride but the Bronson and 27.5 plus 150mm Pikes means it’s just more capable when the going gets rough

Im fit, dont do diets. Why? They are short term. If you want to become slimmer you need to make life style changes. They can be small but work over the long term. Build up to long term benfit without the crash and burn of the latest fad diet. Life style includes other changes not just food and exercise – cycle to work, walk to the shops, sleep, avoid stress, etc etc

If you can put them to good use their worth every penny. Certainly makes a difference to my riding. Straight, bomb proof and extremely light. Nothing to do with bragging rights, Lots on here have opinions mostly based on their prejudices. I gave give a short opinion based on owning and using a product. But someone on the forum always knows better but have not owned or tried the product.

Carbon ones. Why are they overpriced? You tried them or own them?

    time commitment required

you can play as much or little as you want. Games still running buttery smooth for me too. Remember though its a sandbox bit like Eve only here there is no safe space you can be killed everywhere 😈

I think 27.5 rides better for me. More grip and traction. 29 was just to big a boat fro a shorty 5’8″ But were all different. I kept my 26″ and still ride it for winter stuff. But I take the 27.5 for serious riding, no contest.

Why sell it? Didint sell my 26 Zesty, now used for winter work. the resale value would be poor, I get more out of it this way.

Tyre choice for 650b is still rubbish

    really LoL

Cheap quick and easy solution. Tescos black large glove, cut off at the wrist. Use the cuff upside down to seal top of boots. Works a treat. Its also elasticated and moves with you and provides a generous overlap. And as its black it just looks like part of the boot.

HR2 great tyre but I accidently bought the 3c ones and rear edge nobs started to break away after 160km. Will be using the normal compound ones from now on. Once the outer nobs begin to break away you loose noticeable support in corners

I’d also suggest that Kona is more a gravity bike, 160 an enduro and TM is a trail bike, without wanting to pidegeon hole them. The biggest difference is the weight. The TM will fly up while the Kona will be slower on the ups. Kona will be a blast downhill whilst 160 would handle it pretty well.

I sat on the kona and I’m feet flat on floor or perfect position with the post up

you want a geometry that you can sit on the saddle and still touch the floor? If it’s reach problem I’d just get a shorter stem, I’m using 50mm? None of my bikes allow me to sit in the saddle and touch the floor with an extended set post. Imho if the bike fits correctly you shouldn’t be able to sit on a fully extended dropper and reach the floor. I can only touch the floor with it just about fully retracted. There are long and short droppers too. I measure my ideal position as 28 inches from the seat to centre of crank as my starting point, test and adjust. That’s the important measurement. Dropper then gives plus or minus. No way will I touch the deck. Your measurement (inside leg) from seat to centre BB should be similar.

Also 5′ 8″ 30 inch leg leg. Mediums fit fine. Droppers do go all the way down. I’m not expecting to touch the ground whilst sat in the saddle unless I drop the dropper all the way down but then I’d be going down very steep descents and certainly not sat on the saddle. Don’t think a large would suit me

Warthog from thrustmaster stick and throttle awsome solid build. Alpha backer from the start. In game Commander Bond 007. Great game, a lot miss the point that the story grows from player actions such as siding with one side or the other in a civil war. Next up grade has to be oculus rift.

Bike mass? At the point the rider is at his optimal weight and fitness. Waste time and money spending anything on lightening your bike. Get fit and loose weight first then worry about how light your bike is. Note connection between weight and fitenss, being lighter dont make you fitter.

So Northwind you don’t own the game and can’t play it on your mates machine so you conclude its an’ stable mess’? Maybe better to have some experience of it before posting.

    Pawsy_Bear

Does seem to be an unstable mess so far though, anecdotally- nobody I know can get it to run acceptably except for the guy who was in the alpha

Northwind – load of rubbish its been running smoothly since release Ive been playing it for hours. Given your system specs I think it maybe your system thats the problem.

Yup, if you want to know why it costs so much just look at the lawyer firm ‘Public Intrest Lawyers’ It’s a win win situation paid for by the British tax payer as long as they can rake up any old case regardless of its merits.
