For context and not including the DH riders or others that enter from off piste there was something like 190,000 riders in six months on all the trails. Counted by sensors. Conservatively Id guess something 250K riders in that area every 6 months. DTV and FC do an outstanding job

There wasn’t anyone I saw who didn’t either have to stop or actually fell off getting stuck in thick gloop where it wasn’t draining

yup IMHO you have to have surfacing on the climbs especially on what is a trail centre climb to cope with the amount of use. No complaints just think it makes it more sustainable and stops people going around and widening the single track.

    weatherproofed and surfaced like BPW

we were talking the red climb no the DH bits

The climb on that red was a proper bastard in the gloop last weekend!

Id agree it needs proper surfacing

I’m that sad. But in my defence mines still working happily after four years and about to get used later after MTB ride.

Air lock in the head causes the cylinder to overheat. It’s dead. You need to run them with the power off until water comes through without air. Then turn on.

Do you bleed it every time you use it? If not, likely it’s dead. Otherwise check the fuse and or different power point?

From a purely military point having so many different types of tanks means huge training and logistic costs. All of which means less not more military capability only compounded by a conscript army

I’d dispute that Bulgaria, Albania or Macedonia are a real military threat at all and that Turkey isn’t likely to invade another NATO member. Least of all Greece

No getting away from the fact that they modern tanks I could see that and the submarines.

    Crazy

    183 Leopard 2A4
    501 Leopard 1A5/GR
    390 M48A5 MOLF
    70 M60A3 TTS

They then tried to buy more M1 A1 from US!

    UK 227 Challenger
French Army has a total of 406 Leclerc

Yes, they have more tanks than France and UK

Genuinely shocked at their level of spending on military. The whole country seems a shambles

More weight I.e larger legs will slow you. You want stronger legs, fitter legs and less weight. Pro road riders have something like 5w power per kg. Say cat 3 riders about 3wkg.

Thin legs you’ve developed by long endurance rides. Easy rides up the hill. To gain strength I’d suggest short 45 min rides doing hill reps a max heart rate.

Do you mix up rides? Short fast? Long slow? Got a turbo?

My solution is a zero cost option to, just use your current bike

Turbo, reps on bike up hills. Climbing is just your power to weight ratio. Loose weight go up hills faster. You can’t eat yourself fit. Balanced diet is all that’s required.

Sure, they look nice, but UK riding means mud, water and washing

yup Bronson hits the about 100 miles a week all through the winter. Its got grease nipples. Bottom bearings lasted 18 months, free replacement as well. That’s the only ones replaced so far. Rest of the frame ones as good as always and I power hose. Life time warranty on frame. There’s just good and bad manufacturers

Yup the agreed nipple approach, tried and tested. If it’s not the bearing maint regime then it must be poor bearing quality? I always expect my drive train to out last the frame bearings

Bearings wearing out quicker than drive train! Seems somethings wrong. Yeti haven’t been known for their carbon rear robustness either.

Yup agreed but I suspect, given the short life some are? Saw a mate do it on his new Niner, squirt GT85 before we set out, shudder. And if they are over packing the greese then again I suspect it’s affecting the bearing life. If I had to greese regularly then there would be nipples like on the SC.

Yeti says no lube. My Zesty and SC are the same. No lube. It’s dry fit. Any lube will increase wear.

Dry, lube attracts dirt and increases wear

    Pawsy_Bear

I’m not sure what all the greese the bearings is about? Normally they are dry fit? My SC has greese nipples for the bottom pair. What they are designed for. Rest are dry. Any lube fired at a dry fit is going to add to wear. Could they be using ye old GT85? What’s the yeti servicing say?

Defrosters here, yup good investment and I run SPDs on road bike. One boot two bikes. Tried 45 north. Zips the issue. Sent on pair back. Just use them on road bike now. Zips not fit for purpose for MTB off road.

Yup I’d have thought if the US wanted to extradite him they would have done it in the UK. Agree can’t think it would be easier for the US to extradite him from Sweden. Besides he was trying to live and work there before he left. So if it was ok then it should still be ok now? Don’t see what’s changed.

Good link pie monster. The more I read the less I understand why he hasn’t simply left and gone to Sweden. There seems zero threat from US. Maybe the publicity is what he wants or he’s seeking asylum in another country. Speculation on my part.

No idea mate. I was rear ended on the M5 in Oct hitting the crash barriers and writing my car off, clear roads, no other traffic. After taking months to get any reply from his insurance they now claim that I drifted into him! I will fight mine. I have no idea how this might pan out.

All you need really is to find the correct bike fit dimensions. Id go and get her to try similar bikes in your local bike shop. Note the names and check their geometry online or tape measure in store.

Or simpler. Measure the TT and stem on her current bike. Then compare online geometry. They all publish the geo of their bikes.

    Eg here https://www.boardmanbikes.com/products/529-y1415-sls-9.0-fi.html

By the sounds of it all you need to get right is the top tube length/reach. You change TT/teach by fitting shorter – longer stem. In her case Id guess shorter stem.

As I said you change the length with the stem.
