Yes fits SC, nipples are standard size
    Uses cartridges
I have the grease gun, works fine. Few pumps every month seems to work.
I’ve used similar at work. Top tip. Pull and lock plunger fully down. Insert cartridge. Do not ram the plunger into the grease gun. If grease isn’t getting through there’s a air screw on the top of the gun. Stop when greese squirts out.

If it’s hard to get grease into the nipples it’s easy to strip the axle pivot out, grease and refit. Collet and locking screw with some locktite blue.

Expensive image statement. My parents had one for years. No thanks and they wouldn’t go back to it either. So,I’d fuel. £3K for electricity! Madness.

Yes you need ant and dongle – its how the Vortex speaks to the computer or app

I assume you have dongle and ant setup already

    I use Vortex.

    Tyre to 7 bar
Tacx utility tool on phone/ipad select calibration. Pedal to 32 kph then stop as required by the app. It should show a red line in the middle of the green bar. Adjust the resistance on the tyre until you get this.

Zwift doesn’t have any in app resistance check
Trainer road. Uncheck all the devices except Ant plus trainer. Click on Ant trainer and calibrate. Power match auto.

You should note that the power change is part of an algorithm so will feel slightly different on both these apps. I find Zwift and Trainer road to give about the same power read out and feel. Power comes on in both fine.

I don’t use the Tacx app as its sessions are pants but they are improving and now multiplayer is free. Competition must be hurting them.

first few miles or so into rides they are always lacking in power or squeeling if it’s remotely wet. Then they come back so all is good.

they just need a good bleed. If there is no obvious leaks its not the seals. Squealing, yeah sometimes when wet but that’s not a lack of braking. Just noise, ignore it soon disappears. New pads etc and cleaning rotors just wasting money.

the bars pull further to the bars than they used too.

    also needs bleed.

When you bleed them make sure the calliper hose is straight up. take the calliper off and let it dangle. This ensures and air escapes up the pipe. Applies mainly to rear. Front in my experience is never a problem.

Had my XTs for 3 plus years so far, bleed I guess when I have the above problems. Often notice it when the bikes been laid down in the car.

I also notice that when this happens that the fluid is black! Clearly needs a change so I give it a good bleed until clear oil comes through. The oil will degrade over time.

2014 Bronson cc – had a crossed threaded bearing bolt after @ 18months use replacing bearings. SC sent new frame, no quibble and they didn’t even have the old one back before the new arrived. In fact it was still sat in the LBS when the 2015 frame arrived. Great service. Life time crash replacement to.

My next bike will be a Santa Cruz I found their service, design and VPP ride to be great.

I don’t think its the weight that’s the significant aspect for me but Carbon IMHO has a better ride quality. They are stiffer and stronger.

Its optional, if I couldn’t afford Id tell my children that I cant. I would not feel bad about it and they would also learn that honesty and diligence with money is to be admired. Try being honest with your children. If you think its too expensive then say so. People seem to take such things too personal. Is your relationship with your children so fragile and insecure that no is not an option? Turning up and ripping into the organiser is something I wouldn’t want my children to hear about my poor personal behaviour. Not a good example.

    Pike Solo Air RCT3

got that on mine. For me 160mm would mess up the steering, 150mm for me seems to be the sweet spot. I’d wait.

all the cold shower/water is doing is increasing the blood flow to counter the cold.

Exercise will have the same affect and release endorphins so bringing a lift to mood and pleasure

XT – what was the question? Perfect, easy to bleed, setup and cheap. SLX and Deore same.

Trainer road and sufferfest + Zwift

Zwift lets you join group rides, text etc. All have structured training options

You don’t need power meters they all have virtual power estimates which are good enough

Zwift has a group ride calendar

On the road I use it for Spring Autumn weather. LS would be good for colder weather only. Not used on MTB as it doesn’t breath.

It’s certainly very good on the road in bad weather. Get both

Threaded Bottom Bracket and external cables same as my Bronson are great if you maintain your own bike. Like time warranty and bearings. My Bronson has tabs for brake hose on the left TBH Ive never noticed such stuff as its more about how it rides TBH than aesthetics. Cotic and Orange aren’t in the same league IMHO.

What you need need to do is terminate the current tenacy agreement and start a new one

this, remind the guy that the current one remains inforce until its end or until the remaining tenant enters into a new agreement. They are still both liable for the rent. The remaining tenant goes through the normal process to start a new agreement.

Tell her to apply to rent the property through your agents in the normal way.

the main advantage of the 1000 for the older cyclist is the display size ^^ :-)

    I up graded from 800

The 1000 map includes all of Europe and its continually upgraded for free. Its very good. Better than OS IMHO. I have Micro SSD OS for MTB off piste

fitness is a large part of MTB plus skills and experience ofc. But if you have good fitness you can ride better.

One thing about fitness/speed/ability is your weight which you can control, requires no new bike or tyres

I ride more off road, on road when its dry, turbo more. Turbo makes a big difference. Group of friends book a training holiday on road in Spain Italy each year. Keeps us motivated – train to go to training camp :-D Good fun and its warm as well as something to look forward too.

You could also try rolling the bars back or forward to suit. That will help position your arms/neck/wrists in a straight line. Experiment.

always carry my stuff in camlbak, never had any issues maybe your carrying too much? I look at the water – food stops on the master map and carry accordingly. Most enduro’s you don’t need much

Personally I don’t put anything on the bike. I often see loads water bottles, tools, tubes etc strewn over the trail during races. So everything is zipped in.

I could think of more interesting rides than going up and down the same bit of tarmac
