Upgraded from an SE to the 15 Pro. It’s a lovely thing with a significantly better all round speed & camera which you’d expect for twice the price.

I like the iOS ecosystem and find Android a bit glitchy. The better half has a Pixel 8 Pro and it’s very good as well, just not for me.

    Rovals have a lifetime warranty.

Hunt Provens have a lifetime warranty but you have to pay extra.

Had my Levo SL for about 2 months now and it’s ace. I ride further, faster and my heart rate is the same as when I’m on my analogue bike. It’s also getting me out more at the worst time of year, I’m commuting on it almost every day as well as using it instead of the car to visit friends.
The righteous outrage from some folk on this thread is hilarious!

Thanks for all the help everyone. I’ve bought the Harrier Trails Catbells Aluminium Z-Poles which come highly recommended on the thread @JonEdwards linked to.

A bell is the best thing I’ve fitted to my bike this year.

I remember riding down Yoghurt Pots in the Surrey Hills and meeting a couple pushing a pram up the trail!

    Expect the unexpected.

Very happy with my Samsung QLED after a year. Good menu system with zero lag, picture is great, gaming is too.

Didn’t like the LG interface when I tried them back to back in store. I think that once you are spending £1k+ then there’s probably not a huge difference in the picture quality.

Just changed from an SE to a 15 Pro. Quite the difference! Was concerned about the size change but it’s no bother, just a little heavier. The Max would have been too big for me as not trouser pocket friendly.

Love it though, especially the camera.

I’m sure @singletrackandi will be along to clarify. If he’s not being completely transparent about his position at Hunt/The Rider Firm then it does compromise his integrity imo.

@solarider it was from a good source who I’d rather not name. I’m not one to just make stuff up.

If you’re asking this question then you already know the answer. Went through this just over a year ago with our 14 year old cat, then just under a year ago with our 13 year labrador. It’s the most difficult thing I’ve had to do but it was the right time. Devastated doesn’t come close.

Sorry that you’re having to go through it now, just be reassured that you gave your pet a good life filled with love.

That R4 show was excellent. Calm, rational debate from all participants giving really good insight.

This thread on the other hand…

Apparently Kaba’s family have seen the bodycam footage and stopped being as vocal about his death afterwards. Understandably vocal imo as we all would be if one of our relatives or friends was shot by the Police.

    The adage “lie down with dogs, you’re going to get fleas” springs to mind especially considering his previous form;

    – four-year term in a young offender institution for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

    – Kaba was driving someone else’s car which had been involved in a shooting/ firearms offence the previous day/s – who knows if he was involved but he was a convicted guns and gangs criminal who was previously jailed for firearms offences. He would have been aware of the way Police will respond to armed crime.

    – he’s made off from the Police – the blue lights and sirens are arguably an irrelevance – there were marked cars present and he’s reacted in a negative fashion- it’s a car chase blues or not

    – he’s been boxed in and a load of uniformed police officers have jumped out of marked police cars in a lit up area and have pointed guns at him whilst shouting armed Police etc. He has then attempted to ram his way out which has ended up with him being shot once.

    – witnesses have provided accounts and asked “why didn’t he just give up/stop?”

It’ll be interesting to see how the trial pans out. Legally justified shooting is my guess.

The chances of a rear mech having a manufacturing issue are pretty much zilch. More likely an installation error. As you bought it online the onus is on you to make sure the bike is set up properly before you ride it.

More info needed about how it happened as you don’t break a frame from just riding along changing gear.

I’ve really enjoyed this diary Amanda as it’s an honest account in a country I love travelling in.

As mentioned above its a shame the gaps between the days have been quite long, or so it’s seemed.

    Thanks for sharing.

Just fitted composite decking to replace the old rotting decking and it’s ace. A bugger to cut and incredibly heavy for its size but a 25 year guarantee and no more annual treatment, just jetwash when needed.

I’ll dig out the details later.

    Well worth it IMO.

I used one for a year and thought it was ace for someone who still wants to put some effort in. Stick swept back bars, full guards & a rack on it and it’s a cracking bike.

Real world range of about 25 miles but you can always add the range extender which is another 50%.

I thought I’d read about it on their site a few months ago, and it’s also mentioned in the STW review thread from a couple of months back. Maybe they’ve updated their website?

I was interested in this for a lightweight customer but the insert has a limited lifespan of approx 12 months if I remember correctly. That made it cost prohibitive for him.
