    Yeah I’ve got one …

    6’4″ on a 21″ 2013 Carve Pro.

Great bike, stock apart from tubeless and DMVR 12’s – about 25lbs.

It’s my goto bike, I ride it a lot more than my full sus and for short trips on the tarmac I use it in preference to my Hybrid.

Here’s a pic from a few weeks ago.

I’ve got a 21″ Carve pro and at 6’4″ I find it pretty near perfect – its actually quite usable on the road, its reasonably light and real blast in the woods.

It does scratch and chip easily though.

I’d go for the haggle for some money off option and then ride it hard and not worry too much about it. Most of time mine is covered in mud anyway.

I was out there on Tuesday and did about 20Km of pretty dry trails.

Saw this lot dumped just of the Ashton Road … nice work fly-tippers.

I did just that to mine after a very minor tumble – got a replacement from Loco Tuning. I think you can get all the internals bits separately to repair them but it was easier just to get the whole unit.

Train or car out to Delemere Forest? Lots of good beginner stuff out there.

Might be worth considering one of these .

I used to keep my motorbike in one and then when that was sold my MTB lived in it for a while until I built a proper garage.

Its one serious piece of tough kit – they come up on Ebay quite often – I paid £500 odd for mine second hand a couple of years ago.

You do get some condensation probs with them though but nothing major.

Off to France on Saturday morning for the half term week.

France is where my ’92 Muddy Fox Courier now lives so that’s my trusty steed for the weekend.

Only managed to get an hour in Delamere this morning on my new Specialized Carve Pro. New bike, me like!

Chelford Yodel Sprint section at lunchtime.

Now that’s got me wanting a road bike to replace my Specy Sirrus Hybrid.

This is what you need for family holiday type cycling … you should be able to see pictures of the type of terrain.

    Cycling in the Vendee

    and

The French tourist boards in the Vendee and the Charente (next department down) have loads of good cycle route info.

I’ve just come back from near there – I took my hybrid in preference to my Rumblefish. Was deffo the right choice – its pretty flat.

btw – hello all – long time lurker, first time poster.
