I found that it worked okay with a mid 90s MTB i had with a huge top tube – so I could still get between the weeride and the saddle. My son loved it, but for longer rides a trailer or rear mounted is better as you aren’t riding with knees out

I got charged £15 at the Mercedes dealer, and had to put fuel in back to what I used.
I got given a B180CDI auto, and it put me off ever getting one as it was an awful car

We stopped ours after having kids.
Ours was annoying in the summer – he roared up the road in his transit at 3am waking us up before screeching up the road

Well it seems a lot better this morning, much less red and doesn’t hurt now. Still a little bump, but hopefully that will go down in a day or two!
I managed to get my wife to inspect it and put germolene on this morning.

    Small amount of puss.

I didn’t have to part my cheeks to see it, the torch was just so she could see what she was doing as the bulb in the bedroom isn’t that bright

Well I convinced mrs paulwf to have a look with a torch. A lot of huffing and puffing (I had a shower first) she then announced there was a bit of hair poking out the middle.

Sterilized her tweezers and then pulled out a 30mm long curly hair that was inside.

She then spotted another smaller one and had that out at the same time.

Put germolene on it and will see what it looks like in the morning!

I do have a dremel. Will I need to go to B&Q at lunch to get a special tip?

Hmm doctor can see me 12th April… Can try again in the morning at 8am in case anyone cancels

    paulwf

I normally wouldn’t bother going to the doctors, but it has been there for two weeks and is still a raised red bump that hurts when I push it and therefore when sitting on a saddle.

I could do nothing and hope it clears up in a week, or I could go to the doctors.

Never had trouble before in many years of riding and a short commute

I could try and convice my wife to have a go, though it was a struggle to get her to look at it!
Is it just a case of pulling the hair out in the centre of the spot?

Maybe I will just book an appointment as she wants me to do though

It is a fairly common scam. Many people refund without needing a return on cheap items if it is faulty as they don’t want to receive negative feedback.
He was hoping you would just refund him and tell him to throw it away.
Similar to the other con of saying it didn’t arrive – but if they do that too often I wonder if the post office investigates?

I had a similar issue, it will end up at a Copart auction site. In any case they had to deliver the vehicle back to me

A dodgy courier crashed into me a few months ago and then legged it in his clapped out Transit connect. Fortunately I got the numberplate – it was registered to a local back street rental place.
After some detective work I found out that this particular place have got several hundred clapped out vans that are rented out to independant couriers who pay cash for them weekly.
They had big problems when Citylink went bust as they didn’t have anywhere near enough space to store them

I used to do this, but then read an article about an early breakfast making you hungrier sooner.

So now I have black coffee before work, and then eat breakfast between 10 and 11. Lunch at 12.30 and then an evening meal at 6. Lost quite a lot of weight doing it as well

I have a portable washer – I find it makes it worse as the bike is then dripping muddy water into the car!
I have a towbar mounted bike rack, but sometimes I need to have the bike on the inside.

The hatchbag looks good, but the rhino liner looks as if it will protect the doors (the hatchbag states that it doesnt)

    paulwf

I like the look of those Rhino liners as they fold up so I could put it in the spare wheel well.

Has anyone got the 2 part one? That would probably be more useful, but I wonder how well the second part attaches

I’d imagine it would be more like a poor solder joint somewhere.

Turn it up to full, the board then heats up and makes the connection.

Have a look for dry joints and you may be able to fix it yourself – I woudn’t take apart the pot as I doubt it would go back together

You could try contacting ebay customer services, but I don’t think you will get far.

Have you tried contacting the manufacturers/importers customer services? Don’t tell them you got it second hand (maybe it has been sitting in the loft since no 1?) and maybe they have a repair service – often they do and aren’t that expensive.

Unfortunately there isn’t going to be enough power stations to charge all of these electric cars.

However hybrids will have the main market share

I used one, it worked well but occasionally needed removing, cleaning and putting back in with new assembly paste to prevent it from creaking.

That was using a torque wrench at the correct torque, perhaps if I had tightened it a slightly bit more it wouldn’t have become a problem

At my place we had a “new” prefab garage installed in 2000, but it was manufactured in 1999. It had asbestos in the roofing sheets

This is the type that was fitted for me http://m.rapidonline.com/cables-connectors/16a-and-32a-industrial-horizontal-socket-with-isolating-switch-400389

It isn’t shielded but it can’t be switched on until a plug is inserted

    paulwf

Doesn’t it also have to be a shielded outlet if used in a residential property.
I remember i had to have a particular type. Mine was fitted on a 20a type c MCB with 4mm cable

The other thing is if you make a segment – it might show you as KOM until they have fully finished populating the leaderboard.

A recent segment I made immediately displayed my friend as having the KOM. A couple of days later several times over the past few years were above him.

Thanks, have bought a cheap out front one for now as superstar are out of stock and a couple of the Garmin mounts.

The lanyard mount would have been a good idea for my 705 – then it wouldn’t have met an untimely death under the wheels of a van! The plastic on the back was quite worn though, which is probably why it flew off

In the US, their test for NOx is closer to the real world that the European tests we have, therefore the diesels there all have the SCR systems I mentioned.

In Europe, in the real world diesels produce far more NOx.

Here is a study comparing real world emissions of petrols and diesels against the Euro 3,4,5 limits

    http://www.theicct.org/blogs/staff/laboratory-versus-real-world-discrepancies-nox-emissions-eu

    paulwf
    Full Member

It won’t affect the european cars, we already know that all diesels without SCR have wildly higher NOx emissions in the real world than on the test cycle.

I imagine what they have done is to reduce the amount of Adblue urea dosing when on the road to reduce the service interval.

The jail sentences for driving offences vary ridiculously.

Soldier above on internet drives onto kerb and kills someone – 6 months
Driver drives onto brands hatch for a silly stunt – 8 months http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-30082212

Exxon think that light duty diesel usage will reduce, but heavy duty truck diesel usage will increase by 2040
