Thanks for the input fellas, – leffeboy – I had a quick look and thats pretty much what I had in mind!

The bit I didnt mention is that the database or spreadsheet would be used by a couple of people with limited PC knowledge so need to be very simplistic.

I remember many moons ago I had a frontpage ‘form’ on a database that just contained a few boxes to input data … all the data and workings were ‘behind the scenes’ as it were

Depends on the definition of ‘respect’. People have different ideas ….. Sorry to be harsh but if it was years of alcohol abuse I doubt having no alcohol is a ‘respect’ thing ?

Sorry on the loss of your friend, but I’d take the view that he lived by the sword, and died by the sword as it were … Have a toast to him then just do your own thing to respect him in your way…. Which will undoubtedly be different to the way of others

I failed miserably after injury in September it became unachievable. Think I will have another go at the same challenge for 2015 !

I have a Superb Saloon , and my business partner has the estate… Both 170 HP automatics averaging around 52-54 mpg all round business use, but on a steady motorway run 60mpg easily achievable.

The saloon has the really useful double boot system which is worth checking out as its really clever. The boot can open as a normal boot, or press a button and its a hatchback.

Opening as a hatchback my bike can lay in complete without even taking the wheels off

Headlights are brilliant …. So much better than the VW Passat we also have

As for space ….. Just lots of it !

Overall very very difficult to fault!

Rosberg appears to be now playing mind games with Hamilton…. keeps saying Hamilton is under pressure, and that he hemself needs some help from Hamilton etc….. Hamilton will naturally race to win….. I expect some dirty tricks from Rosberg!

It wouldnt surprise me to see Rosberg backing up into Hamilton, and tempting him into a lounge or move…… Hamilton will need to keep his wits me thinks!

Lewis has definitely now proved himself and is the worthy champion for 2014 …. But I just have this nagging doubt that he has this unlucky streak and could lose out on car reliability to Tossberg who wins it on stupid double points malarkey at the last round . truly hope this doesn’t happen….. It would be gutting

Guy is incredibly entertaining to watch …… makes me realise more than ever that Top Gear is just totally past its sell by date …. Sunday nights with Guy Martin would be way more entertaining.

Amusing thing ( other than the chat up lines on the girl ) was when he whipped out his Nokia 6310i to text …… funnily enough I found an old one of mine in a drawer just last week.! That phone would last two weeks on a charge ….. if only phones now would do that!

More Guy Martin on TV though … definitely .

    Or just teasing again
To an extent, yes, but I do find it rather silly when people spend much more than they need to for what I consider to be daft reasons.

Only silly in your opinion…… Not in pretty much every other post ! Irony is that you paid £1 for a Bic pen I can buy for around 10p …. So paying 10 times over the odds is … Erm ….. very silly in my book ;-).

When you work hard for your money you should spend how you like. ;-)

In my book (!) notebooks are great and very useful……. Quick and easy ….. Efficient. ….. Cool…..

@irv. I have in my stash a Filofax binder with a holder inside the front cover shaped to take a Palm Pilot …. Trying to think what year …. 1996/7 perhaps ? There’s a couple of Facebook groups for Vintage Filofax binders…… Geeky! I had a Psion 5 for a couple of years …… Think the Revo was a different version! Remember continually losing or breaking the pointers…..

@ Molgrips ….. Odd comment …. Those with too much money ……. Define ? Or just teasing again ;-) Bics are actually quite expensive as cheap ball pens go …… Next time you’re in Argos looking at the cheap stuff why not grab yourself some of their pens lol. :-)

Check out these as well……. I’ve seen them but not used them….. Very good quality and some nice features like subtly numbered pages and some removable perforated too. Ink proof paper claimed……. Might just get myself one to try .
