I got to Peaky Blinders late …. Watched both series back to back . Absolutely brilliant

I’m amazed that there isn’t more commercially available equipment considering the growing popularity ……. It’s actually pretty hard to find mallets to buy !

Ok ….. The search is now officially on for components to build one !

I’ve just played for the first time tonight after watching it last week…….. Absolutely loved it and even scored twice ‘.

Yes…… Can definitely see n+1 happening in the near future !

It looks like most guys are on a frame size smaller than ‘normal’ ….. All single speed with a mixture of 26″ wheels and 700c …. So I’m now looking for a suitable frame or bike ! I actUally played on a giant Anthem 29er ! Far from ideal……

If anyone has materials for mallet I’d be chuffed

I subscribed for a couple of months… but i found the coffee rather bad overall…. too much emphasis on additional flavours…. the final straw that made me cancel was the Earl Grey flavoured coffee ……

great marketing ……. not so great product

hora … Already changed the wheels from Vision stock ones to Mavic from my old bike …. Really didn’t like them in cross winds ….. Went out tonight on 120mm stem and found it quite a bit better …… Going to tweak my seat forward a little more too as it does seem better with more weight forward over bars …… Got some progress though !

I really don’t think it is as down the same descents on my other bike I have no issues ……

I’ve just checked everything on forks is all tight and solid and fitted a 120mm stem to see how that feels.

The spacers are unchanged from stock …

It was raining after I changed stem so little point in heading out but will hopefully give it a try tomorrow!

    Thanks everyone for input

My old road bike was a Felt….. Which has a slightly shorter stem….. And slightly longer top tube ….. Never experienced any issues with that …… Descending on drops on both bikes …….

For some reason the Planet X just feels too short for some reason and I’ve convinced myself I think that this is the issue …. Just don’t have the confidence on it at speed.

I think I may compare all the measurements on both bikes and see where they differ.

Oh yes …. Forgot to mention…. Changed the wheels over and it made it a tiny bit better but not a little lot !

Ok. Guys ……. Another question then…… What could be causing speed wobble or unsteadiness at 35 mph + ????

Stem is around 105mm …… Would a 120mm help ? It just seems long ?

Yes head tube is 145 mm …. Yes top tube is 530mm …… I’m not seeing how effective length could add 15 mm ?

I’ve done the clean 9 twice …. Days 2-3 are pretty hard , but then it gets easier. You do have to be determined though . Lost 8 lbs and 10 lbs ….. In 9 days . First time I did one I lost 1 1/2 ” from chest size

You lose weight and physical size in a short space of time so quite motivational .

I found that I definitely felt ‘cleaner’ each time and for many weeks after really disliked the thought of greasy or bad food

Worth trying but not for everyone

I use in my business …. Makita. Use to use DeWalt but got fed up of batteries not lasting and poor durability of the DeWalt stuff.

I really enjoy the program but echo some of the above …. In the first series the format was slightly different in that the cars were restored to a deadline and then all auctioned at a later date. But this series is falsely edited to give the appearance that the individual auction is the deadline! All the cars are at the same auction so if it were real they must be working on all of them at the same time !

Yes I’d agree I’d like to see more detail on the actual restoration and how issues are overcome ..

Enjoyable series but without tweaking the format to make it more interesting and less predictable I think it’s interest will wain quickly !

I read somewhere that storing upside down can introduce air into brakes ……

Kimbers…… What is this trick ?? …… Push a cable tie in and then oil? Doesn’t that damage seals ??

If you’re absolutely sure you’ll only ever have black then aeropress is as good as anything . But if you’re determined to have an electric machine around that figure then Gaggia Classic ….just don’t use the milk steamer !

Jaymoid … Thanks for that comparison……. Stand out differences seem to be 11 vs 39 focus points , flip out screen, and ISO ranges……..

So perhaps the 3200 could be a decent starting point

I’ve retrieved a few pads by baking on hot oven for half hour. It does work but only really with light soiling .

Make sure you properly clean the discs too though with brake cleaner and maybe just key the surface with some wet and dry too
