FR230 wouldn’t connect at all for me on 11.0.0. It would after updating to 11.0.1, but a bit flakey and would lose connection every now and again but always fine when the app was open. Just updated to 11.0.2 so hopefully all fixed now.

Not 100% sure on domestic installs but cost will probably be something like £900-£1,300 per kW.

Really? Pretty sure my set is still somewhere at my parents house. May have to dig it out as I need a new dropper post.

How about another round of voting?

Any prime minister will need parliamentary approval to trigger article 50 of the Lisbon treaty and initiate the UK’s exit from the European Union

If it comes to this I can’t see MPs voting with the whip if they don’t want to but how would it go down with constituents’ if they went against the result of the referendum?

I really enjoyed it. If you want to really geek out on it then listen to the Undisclosed podcast that was done a little while after Serial, loads has happened since then. Season 2 has been more like a straight forward story so far but still helps a train commute pass.

2 on the drive side and one on the other, I think.

Dialled Love/Hate as a rigid single speed, had two at different times and sold them both for reasons I now don’t understand. Also my Cotic Roadrat as a single speed commuter. Maybe I just don’t like gears, really.

I’ve used these for years, never lost a bottle from one even on bumpy descents and I don’t think you can get cheaper. Look a bit crap though, I guess. You can bend them a bit to hold the bottle more tightly.

We were in the same position at the start of November and got a cheapy one from Kiddicare as they all seemed much the same. He’s much happier looking forward and being able to stretch his legs but journeys over 90 mins are still hard work. As he’s sitting quite upright his head can slump forward when he sleeps giving him a stiff neck and we have a little pillow so he’s not quite so angry when he wakes up. Maybe some of the more expensive ones allow the seat to recline.

I’m surprised that the Super Furry Animals haven’t been mentioned, not a bad album or LP. And they’ve made quite a few. Top live band too.

At the risk of ridicule , I genuinely enjoy all the Kula Shaker Albums. No more ridiculous than U2 I suppose.

Can you still hear sealant sloshing around? If not then stick a bit more in but otherwise pump it up and go for a ride. It can take a while to fully seal and you’ll need to pump a bit more air in from time to time.

Good stuff, thanks. We should both get £5 credit when I activate the sim ordered through that link, which will be in about 2 weeks. Nice pic too by the way.

    Cheers!

That’s my thinking too Molgrips. The run down to the finish should be good fun without having to worry about cars.

Thanks, this thread reminded me to register. Riding on closed roads will be a new experience for me.

That’s a shame. For those that don’t know, the coverage cuts out for about 15 minutes during most of the top 10 men. It comes back at about 1 hour 54 in just in time for Gwin and Bryceland.

Thanks for that, I just searched for ages and couldn’t find it.

The Purple Poppadom does great Indian food, a cut above the usual curry house. Not bang in the centre but only about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride.

I raised my seatpost a bit and my ITB-type pain disappeared in no time.

Take that head! Heart wins, Composite 3 just ordered.

Will the metal one take panniers as well – if required?

You can get a seat clamp with rack mounts for the Defy 1, the Defy 2 has rack mounts on the frame.

I’d decided on a Defy 1 until I went to Tredz (same company that runs my C2W so not taking advantage!) to figure out what size I need and saw the Composite – it is really, really nice in real life.

I don’t really need a rack as I only carry clothes in and home one journey a week and I’ve used the Crud road bike guards before, which are fine.

Whichever I get it’ll be easier doing 20 miles each way than my 9-speed, flat bar Road Rat! And I’ll be able to do rides straight from my drive again, haven’t had a road bike for a while.

Good to see that everyone here is sensible and suggesting the practical alu option!

Have you looked at the PX Pro Carbon?

My employer uses the Cycle Solutions scheme (Wheelies) so I can’t get anything from Planet X, but they have a pretty big selection and the Giant bikes have 10% off too.

Thanks both. I think it’s a case of head saying alu and heart insisting on carbon, which is lovely in the flesh. But the 105 stuff is really nice!

I’ve found the Crud mudguards to work well enough otherwise that would have swung it.

I had this dilemma a few months ago and bought an integrated Beko for about £250. I’d gladly spend 10x more never to have to wash dishes again but this one works fine. We have a similar one at work for an office of about 40 people and it’s lasted years doing a couple of loads each day so I’m sure it’ll be last well enough.

Now I’ve said that I can expect a call from home to tell me that the dishwasher has broken!

Inspired by this thread, I went for lunch at the Plough and Harrow yesterday and spotted a card for a nearby B&B on the bar. From a quick scan, they don’t say anything about dogs on the website though.

Loads of good ones already listed. Not so much a forecasting resource, but I like the Climate Reanalyzer too.

We won’t ruin the planet, we’ll ruin the planet for us.

Ecosystems cope well with change but not the rate of change that is occurring because of human activity, so it think that statement is a little too human-centric. Read the State of Nature report from last year to see how UK nature is already being affected.

Grum sums it up well, there is enough evidence to say that man is causing the climate to change beyond natural variability and the rate of change is faster than ever before. The counter argument seems to be to say ‘no it’s not’.

Skeptical Science has a credible section on climate change evidence and myths, worth a read before posting up that it’s the sun or volcanos – http://www.skepticalscience.com/argument.php

I live in Llantwit and the Plough and Harrow mentioned above is a cracking pub and only a 10 minute or so drive away. If you want to stay in the town then The Old Swan is the best pub here and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Not sure either has rooms though.

The Alchemy Live by Dire Straits. Also the live side of Ummagumma by Pink Floyd, but that’s not a live double album, strictly speaking.

We’ve just paid about £800 for all the searches, contract and money transfer to the seller. That’s in South Wales, not sure how it varies regionally. Ours was local and I’m glad as I could drop various bits into them as needed.

I’ve just got my new cabinets from DIYKitchens.com and would recommend them but it’s worth getting some samples delivered if you’re not local, which is what we did. Having looked at all the suppliers you mentioned I reckon they’re as good as any of them (probably better) and much cheaper. Ikea was second on our list.

We got solid wood worktops from Worktop Express and appliances from wherever was cheapest for the one we wanted too.

Richard Herring has a few good ones, I like the Leicester Square interviews with other comedians. The one with Armando Ianucci and Graham Linehan is great.

This American Life is tremendous. A 10 hour flight will pass in no time.

90s or more recently dodgy, we’d have loved the original surround to be in there. It was coupled with some black wallpaper with large silver flowers printed on it to make a feature wall.

If there needs to be a whacking great vent in the wall then I think we’re back to small stove territory. I will have a log store!

Not a bad idea. The original brick arch is just under where the plaster starts but the new brick and cement underneath it seem to be holding it up so if that’s removed I don’t think it’ll be strong enough.

That’s the way it’s looking at the moment, we would like a functional fireplace, just got to figure out the best way of doing it so I’m looking for some inspiration.

    A wine rack is inspired.

£35 for a 5-footer and £45 for a 6-footer in the Vale of Glamorgan, getting ours this weekend. I think that’s about what I paid last year too but I might try and find a Costco!

I’ve recently sent some 680 bars with the UPS version of collect + through parcel2go and it cost about £7. I’ve not had the best experiences of Hermes so the extra couple of pounds was worth it.

It all sounds quite positive, thanks. I think this’ll be plan A unless I come across some good deals elsewhere in the next couple of weeks.
