What's wrong with a pair of panniers or a conventional bar bag?

    Too conventional?

    nothing!

maybe bike bags keep the cog in the center of the frame, rather than hanging the weight off the back/front.
for off road riding that gotta be a good thing?

    "oooo ooooo"

looks pretty steep and it looks like you gotta squeeze between those two rocks up the top.

i'd have a go, don't know if i'd still be on the bike at the bottom

    Fox haters are fox wanters

Just because you can't afford a product no need to bash it !!

what? i've got more money than you so that makes me better? ffs

fwiw. i bought rev 150 over float 150 because they have a 20mm axle, are stiffer, and need a lot less maintenance. cost was never an issue as i can get both trade.

£110 for those Answer bars! for that I would get the Eastons

i prefer the feel of answer bars over easton. i don't think easton do 1/2 inch rise?

i tested the 5spot with a 140. i haven't tested the 150 rev yet. i've been waiting for my frame since jan, been told next week, but i'll believe it when i see it.

    turner recommend a 130 to 160 fork.

any fork you mentioned would work ok. i think the spot has 69' ht angle with 140 fox, 68.5 with a 150 fox.

    so down to personal preference.

i went for the rev 150.

rode alp d'huez for a week on a borrowed brooklyn 24" jump bike with a 100mm fork.

i could barely walk to dinner/pub in the evening. good brakes and dh tyres are your friend.

but what is a bicycle enduro?
They're events where people dress up in race pajamas, body armour then ride very slowly between sections of downhill.
When they get to the downhill bits they do there best to fool themself that they're a top MXer.

sorry, still don't get it. any examples?

i get that enduro is the same as all mountain riding. ragging mid travel bikes down hill with the ability to ride up (just riding to most) but how doe's a race work?

if your just going for a pootle around then a normal helmet will be fine. if your going to push yourself (it's hard not to) then a full face.
