how many fp in scotland have been resurfaced ?

as i said above “seems to work well in scotland….” why wouldn’t it work as well for the rest of the uk.

my brooklyn has a 69* head angle with a 100mm fork. but the seat tube is to slack for all day rides.
i just like playing in the woods on it, real good on single track but i have to stand.

    Bad idea.

Certain footpaths should be re-designated but it should be reviewed on a case by case basis and not be across the board.

seems to work well in scotland….

I prefer to spend my time working for rights of access with people who make decisions in the real world.

    what you mean like parliament?

i’d like access for the hole of the uk, not just my local stuff…

clearly what the e-petition is for?

e-petitions is an easy way for you to influence government policy in the UK. You can create an e-petition about anything that the government is responsible for and if it gets at least 100,000 signatures, it will be eligible for debate in the House of Commons.

rawl bolts make good bearing pullers, a lot cheaper than a proper kit.

i may be wrong but iirc, king and hope (and nearly everyone else) use a 45 degree crown race.
so should work, but i’ve never tried it. we had some split races made at work and i use them instead of the ones supplied with the hs.

Axle kit is all you need.

No you will need to buy a 12 mm threw axle.

is your bike 12 mm compatible? most frame come with a 12 mm axle if they are designed to use one.

That is the only thing that matters.

you’d have thought so, but on here i think people would rather slag each over off than actually ride bikes!

You’re buggered if you’re trying to sell a 2nd hand frame right now. Some of those prices – hardtail and full sus – are just silly.

yep, my turner frame is gonna be hung up in the garage, just to remind me never to pay full retail again

i got my turner through the dutch distributer. shame silverpish are now importing yeti. you may as well get one cheaper from the USA, warranty will be easier to sort out…

    @ osteo1

i’ve just sent tom an email. (rambling)

i don’t come here much anymore, but here’s what i sent to tom..

i’ve only lived here for eighteen month but have found enough to keep me interested. i’d be happy to show you a few local loops, but if your fit you may wanna ride on your own.
i’ve just started a new job , so the bike has taken a back seat for six weeks…

the great wood next to battle has a good loop that runs around the outside edge of the wood. this can be extended by using petley wood (whatlington) to crowhurst/burnthouse wood then on to ashes wood. a little further out you have darwell wood or lordship wood. a little further still, beckley wood looks good on the map but i’ve not made it there yet. there’s also some good bits in faggs wood at ham street. i’ve just been told there’s some bits around bexhill, trying to get the exact location…

hasting and the surrounding area is mostly clay, in winter (or this summer) try to stay away from the lower lying trails as they end up being un-passable due to the very sticky clay.

all this would be a lot easier to show you on a map ( os 124) so if you wanna meet up for a pint i’d be happy to share my limited local knowledge.

same applies, if you wanna meet for a pint i’d be happy to show you on a map.
