thanks goldenwonder, i've spoke to two dealers, both not very helpful as they don't know the product and have to consult the service centre…(useless)

the phone number on the amer site doesn't work ether.

I can tell you that a shop fast approaching a £2 million turnover hasn't achieved that by just selling MTB's!

    selling crack?

erm, don't know if you've noticed but there's recession going on at the moment
sales are down of everything, not just bikes and events.

fyi brooklyn machine works have never had a bike made in the far east. not saying they wont, just haven't yet!

would a turner made in the far east ride any different to one made in the usa?

Hit a dodgy route or whatever & grab/touch a tree for balance but keep riding.

    you've answered your own question!

    interbike sucks!

the out door demo is worth a visit. the trade show is full of lots of very uninteresting crap. i wanted to check out maybe 10 manufacturers and found another 10 interesting enough to waste a bit of time, thats outa thousands!
the gun club is a lot more fun!

How can you tell from the photo whether it was a single pivot or not? On the SC VPP system you can't see the pivot because it is hidden behind the chainring just like on the photo

it's an orange! the little swing link? it has a pivot on the seat stay? on a multi link bike that link would be much bigger

Or you could go and buy an SC Blur LT – that Orange above looks just about a direct copy, even down to the top tube shape and linkage pivot arrangement

apart from being a single pivot

    @swift

from the first reviews i read, people complained about really loose pins. (once fitted) i.e.: tolerances between pedal and pin were shit!

i'm glad you find that a strange comment, and your pedals are not like that. that means canfield have picked this problem up and made it right.

How are the point one? Are they wedge shaped or do they just look like they are?

I run straitline but my head as been turned by the point one, burgtec mk3 and crampon pedals. Do they run on bearings or bushings?

no not wedge shape, they are big though, only slightly concave and very grippy. they use bearings, the one closest to the crank arm are huge . like all things point one it's beautifully made (sorry i'm a metal worker)

i would of liked to of tried the crampons, but first few reviews mentioned loose pins from new, not good in a £100+ pedal.

why not design a head tube that doesn't need deep cups, then there's hundreds of options not just a few.

I know the warranty is only valid if it has a deep set.

then why sell them without one? just seems odd that you need x part on your bike to validate your warranty but not supplied with the frame.

not having a dig just very surprised, thought better of nicolai.

couldn't see anything wrong with your passing, as most of it was on the dirty line. surely if you've entered that kind of race then you (me) gotta expect to get passed at some point?

just picked at a corner 'till there was enough to get hold of.
an old credit card or similar might help to lift a corner?

pastcaring, any cheaper than the UK pricing after P&P or similar costs?

£1920 delivered. so about the same as here. i wanted a 5spot and was prepared to go the long way round, as long as i didn't have to deal with silverpish.

i'm sure turner know all about silverpish, and apply pressure when needed!
funny how the 09 turners that were being sold by crc/merlin were being sold as 2010 stock a few weeks before by silverpish? my dealing with silverpish have under hand at best!
