Same as a supplier at work. If they failed to turn up twice and cost two days money they wouldn’t be used again.
I don’t think it’s reasonable to wait around twice for nine hours, loose two days money and be asked to do it a third time because crc can’t use a courier that turns up when they say they will.

Ive seen some production drawings of a 120 rear 140 front. that with a change of shock and hardware can be run 145 rear 160 front.
If it ever makes it to production it would be my perfect uk/alps bike

Just to add.

Modern 4x bike are a little slacker than the older ones.
(4x track have gotten faster) At least that’s the case with my fs and ht.

This seems a bit of a mine field.
4x bikes really aren’t great at the pedally bits due to size, suspension design, weight etc and almost all of them have 1-1/8 head tubes which rules out the possibility of putting a good recent modern fork on there as they’ve all gone tapered.

M4X is great on the pedally bits, Good seat angle, good suspension design and is light as ****.
I’m 510 a 400mm seat post is only just long enough if you wanna keep the bottom below the top tube.

pivot m4x, 66.5 ha, 12.5 bb. 120 font, 100mm rear comes in long and short but rare and expensive.
unfortunately it has sat in the corner unused for a year… hopefully soon

Here’s what TFL have to say about ASLs.

ASLs are primarily a measure designed to increase cyclists’ safety by allowing cycle users to move away from traffic signals slightly in advance of motorised traffic. ASL facilities provide a second stop line in advance of the regular line. Between the two lines is an area (ASL reservoir) which is reserved for cyclists.

A 100mmish “5” with a slack head angle and steep seat angle would rock!

Dropper seat post, maxles, big tyres, big bars and a 1 by. Perfect!

How it was? its always been like this really – the land reform act codified existing practice in large part. Some more populated areas some marginal bits are now clearly open to bikes where it wasn’t clear before

so pretty much the same as england is now. guessing? 90% of riders will ride footpaths, legal or not.

The classic Carn Mor Ban descent has been resurfaced at least in part because of damage from bikes caused by its popularity

Just pointing out that its not all perfect here either and some issues would arise in england given the same access rights
