I’m 31 and still actively skate and I am a dad so I evidently fall into the emo dad pile especially when you chuck in skin tight black jeans, cut off denim jacket covered in turbo negro patches and old maiden t shirts.

    I wear skate shoes.
    Vans
    Emerica
    Lakai
    NikeSB
    Adidas skate
    Fallen
    etc…

@ ranger… thats a lovely stick you have there…! I had a salomon prospect which was similar to the official.

@ edukator.. seems you need educating about japanese powder, makes euro powder look particularly lame fat skis essential ;)

+1 for Glen Coe and Nevis range… no money to go anywhere abroad.

re: all the tech. just get yourself an nice normal cambered board, I have been riding since 1994 and the reverse camber thing isn’t new. TBT as mentioned is pretty good i reckon but best used in conjunction with normal camber.

the best application of reverse camber is in freestyle boards specifally rails. half pipe and kicker is still best ridden on a norml cambered board.

Signal OG would be my choice for general mountain bit of everything deck.

K2 slayblade is also very nice, salomon have a whole range of boards as do artec, DWD, Ride, YES, Endeavour, weekend, Lobster, APO, LIB, etc….

Bindings…. BUY UNION! the force model are really nice.

Everyone pretty much makes nice boots but i like slaomon and 32 cos they fit best. all about the fit when it comes to boots…

most of all! Have fun ;)

    good new mrs toast!

wwaswas – if they’re doing that surely blocking the obstacle isn’t the best way to see how people do it?

Had a really nice day at cannock yesterday getting there good and early seems to be the key, hardly met anyone all the way round.

did meet some guy with his kid who could have only been about 4 or 5 that was doing really well. top parenting there!

How are people meant to get good enough unless they try and ride the trails?

The bottle neck areas like the werewolf drop (small ramp consisting of about 5 stones) could they not just build a ‘ride around’ so people can avoid it? they have in other areas?

people standing on the exits and entrances to the singletrack (often where it meets fire road) can be a pain in the arse.

I let people past and other people let me past sometimes…

so it goes frame, device, 1×2.5mm spacer,BB cup, then the cranks… edit.

The 1.X arm should be oriented so the knurled texture around the bottom bracket hole contacts the frame.
    instructions online

mine is next to my frame and replaced 1 spacer on a 68mm BB shell.

so it goes frame, device, 1×2.5mm spacer, then the cranks.. works fine.

I am quite heavily dyslexic, I re-read my posts at least 3 times before hitting send just to see if they make sense, words leave the pages of books before my very eyes, I have been called a mong/spaz/Joey by classmates all my juniour years. never bothered me because A. I was bigger than most of them and B. as i got more help than them, my education was far better. I now hold down a decent Job.

Although my experience was not a bad one its not really acceptable, not in teh public domain, between mates down teh pub or whatever that is as it is between mates.

How many of you call your mates bent or gay when they won’t comne out to ride?

I used to have a buffalo special 6 but also got way too hot..

I now use a Montane Prism jacket for actively cold stuff, very small amount in insualtion and a Montane flux jacket for stops/belay.

I also use this system for winter climbing.

I don’t think its the same as quality german bike manufacturer ‘canyon’

still looks the business though, I have seen other canyon products in most low end bike shops.

electric tooth brush! my nephew would have tantrums about cleaning his teeth until he stopped at ours for the weekend and I brushed his teeth with a ‘lectric toofbrush’ and so bought him a cheap one and he now loves cleaning his teef.

I think if I didn’t ride, skate, climb, etc.. I’d be a right old fatty!

I ride twice a week, skateboard at least twice a week, also keep my hand in down at the climbing wall for summer high-mountain trips a few times a month, get out walking with the family as often as is possible.

I like eating and I like doing stuff so it works out pretty well for me.

they are ugly but like someone said this just adds to their overall handsomness *sp*,

staffies are ace too shame about the rep.

I lost my rotty 5 months ago people gave him a wide birth, but there was no need, he was so soppy and gentle, great with really small children, super friendly and just generally amazing. miss him loads! My Jack Russel is way more of a handful!

definitely a case of nurture not nature i reckon.
