Cheers Brant, once I get my road bike ill have a go on that but would be terrible on my ten ton 456.

Dave boy wounder I have senced after trawling the internet that the fun routes in hebden bridge are a closley garded secret. if i took this http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/PennineBridleway/uploads/Hebden%20Bridge%20MTB%20Route7%20%282%29.pdf as a template would that be a good start for a loop and tie in were i think the special places are.

    Cheers

I wound the pins up on mine and I dont feel the axle now, although if they catch your shin they go to the bone.

eyerideit, Im very much from the school of landing with my face first. Black run might not be the cleveriest idea but if its there I might as well give it a whirl, dalbys black isnt that tough anyway.

Champion seems top tip is nice and loose, I fall alot on flats so I can accept it, just fancied been a bit more connected on pedals going down hill as in this muddy wet weather I feel i slip on flats so cant go as fast.

seems a common problem, bikes get scratched so not worried about the scratches just ruins momentum up hill and is bloody anoying

    parling

ill check chain line but seems fine, chain is brand new 9 speed, chain is tight any more links out and it would struggle to get in top cog,

its only loosley sucking then almost just sitting on chain stay

Cheers, think ill take plent of lube to re-apply on my chain as it gets washed off after every puddle.

Never done it in rain so wasn’t sure how it held up to this monsoon were having.

Glad I’ve put new cassette chain and crank on I’m sure they wont get trashed with the grit.

was going to go for the high roller on rear but wanted to see if there was anything anyone had tried that was better, love the grip on HR so that’s the obvious choice for front.

interested to hear if you find anything out, I have the solo air but fancy some coil forks so a conversion would be a cracking idea.

I’m off to Les arcs in about 10 weeks on my hard tail and have put some cheap ebay dual ply high rollers 2.5 on as last year on a full sus in morzine I destroyed hundreds of inner tubes. Been a pain testing them here they weigh a ton but will be worth it out there to enjoy the downs.

nothing worse been a contact lenser and mud and bugs trying to remove them from your eyeball,

Interested in fakleys as I always fall off and break them or lenses get scratched by a javelin carrying fly, can you get cheap clear lenses for the Jawbones I’ve only seen the genuine ones and for clear plastic going in a £10 quid frame seems just daft

cheers apart from weight i cant understand how there can be that much diffrence as long as its stiff as my current one flexes and Im sure any big drops and itll snap and that will have face hitting floor writen all over it.

im the opposite to most people every new bit i put on my bike is heavyer,

went from an aluminium frame to steel, swaped light now bent wheels to dh wheels, and chain rings and cassets are heavy steel jobs.

Its a slog taking her up hill but so much more fun on the downs as I don’t worry about anything breaking and me hitting the dirt.

njee20 people may no if that set up would be a struggle to ride up anything steep.

    Shoe analogy not incredibly helpful.

I’ve thought about 1×9 recently mainly riding peaks which has some steep bits would a 32 front and 11×34 at back be enough to get me to top and the to bottom,
