There not light, but I did half stage 1 and 2  of ard rock with a flat tire and rim is still fine few scratches so I wouldn’t say they are like cheese, they give you a good tire profile

    Hi Weeksy,

I’ve no idea how to see if its been recorded accurately, Im using my bkool pro which should be accurate. I’m apparently averaging 1.9w/kg. Not used a trainer in a few years so it could be I’m just rubbish, just feels like I’m faster outside on MTB. Looks like ill just have to keep going.

    Cheers

I can’t complain at all with there service picked up my new carbon 456 evo chain bust after 10 mins and they replaced it no questions asked. After a ride in peaks I’m very happy with the bike.

thanks for every ones response some useful information on here. they are still on there way from SRAM TECH in Holland apparently.

the oridginal responce from SRAM TECH

“I’ve reviewed this case after talking to the technician who made the assessment & find no reason to reverse the original findings.

This case is not one for warranty, damage to the upper tubes, the arch & presence of paint flaking & bending to both the arch & the upper tubes is indicative of an impact causing this. It may not have been caused by the small jump the rider took when the break actually happened, but it has happened at some time.”

there is no damage to upper tubes there is to the arch that’s snapped, the paint flaking is from after the arch snapped as the forks flex alot without that arch been there turns out that’s very important to the structure, and no idea what the bending was about as the legs are very straight.

I will post hi res pics when they return as they are in excellent condition.

If I had crashed them I would accept they broke and get on with my life but I didn’t they just snapped.

I think I will wait for the response from citizens advice and merlin’s next response but will read up on small claims as I feel I have been wronged.

they were proper ones I believe don’t think OEM but you can never be sure.

section 75 is out of the question due to me getting them on a debit card.

I have asked for the report from SRAM Netherlands and emailed citizes advice. The customer is always right is not something SRAM or Merlin have ever heard of apparently.

scotroutes I came of a small drop but landed back wheel first the forks had more travel than the drop

not paid on credit card was debit card. there not new only just inside there warranty. they have offered no proof just a photo copy of an inspect sheet saying they bent backwards which they didnt. After emailing for almost 2 months I’m just disappointed that they would treat a customer like this. they offered my a replacement price which was the same cost as any other website, when I mentioned this they said I’m free to purchase were I want.

Forks are back on another trip merlin have to send them to SRAM again who in turn are going to send them to there European headquaters. Glad I go to alps next week.

there currently on there way back so will get some more photos up. My main problem is I know what happened and how the crown snapped is a mystery to me and I’m annoyed they say it was an impact damage and caused the fork to bend backwards.

Update, they still think that it was crash damage/ impact refuse to acknowledge that that’s rediculas. SRAM Tech offered me crash replacement forks at cost price, when I mentioned that I can buy them cheaper than that from online shops they replied with that’s there price and I can buy else where.

I’m more annoyed now at there customer service than there shoddy forks broke.

Does any one know any sram contacts.

They have been sent back for inspection, they are in immaculate condition sanctions are perfect so if all else fails ill be looking for some lowers. I personally cant see how you hit the crown with wheel and bars in way.

shop I got them from merlin have been very good but ultimately the warranty is with Sram. They are arguing crash damage but from my thought a 150mm fork should be able to take a few landings, there was no crash and it defiantly didn’t bend backwards. there 15mm mickolas as well. Ive told SRAM I’m not satisfied with there answer.
