Imagine a cone with the point at the screwhead. For a given angle a longer screwdriver will have a bigger top to the cone which is the effective lever that you are using to undo the screw. There’s a limit to the angle before the screwdriver will slip so a longer handle is the most effective way to apply more torque.
Easier to get a long screwdriver set straight in the screwhead. Having the screwdriver slightly off straight gives the effect of a wider turning circle compared to a short one being way off straight to achieve a similar advantage.
I’ve had one of the bolts that goes through the spring and cleat come unthreaded from the outside, making the cleat difficult to engage and fully release. Takes some clamping in a vice and turning the bolt to get it back together.
Rallon custom colour scheme make it yours. I wobble about on a rallon it’s way more bike than my skill and bravery level require but it does make me push my limits more. It’s also a hoot to ride.
The most stable shock for what your worried about is a pull shock. But no ones currently making one that I know of. I’ve got a Cannondale trigger with a pull shock and a rallon with a yoke’d push shock and I can tell the difference in the rear shock mounts from the feel of the two bikes.
