Topstone is the comfiest roadish bike I’ve had. All my full sus bikes have been comfy.

If they can send you the number off the new owner slip you can tax it.

Holding a steel rear triangle apart to get a wheel in got finger tip trapped between cassette and frame.the joys of youth.

Dealer can transfer v5 to you online. Then you can tax straight away. Job done a piece of paper will turn up a week or so later.

11-42 out back 40 up front only the fast descents spin out before roadies.

Joebristol Topstone has more tyre clearance and bosses for stuff and more relaxed geometry I believe.

It’s quick enough on road with a set of slicks it would only be limited by the gearing for keeping up with a full roadie. Off road and on rough roads it just glides along the dropper is a surprisingly useful addition on road for fast descents. In general it just feels stable no matter what surface your on. The flared drops are mega comfy as-wel. The finish on the frame and forks is superb with lots of handy mounting points for guards bottles and bags.

It’s a topstone I wasn’t sure on the tan walls but in the flesh they’re rather nice.

Gx eagle 12speed cassette +xtr shifter and mech is a good option. I did it after my gx mech did the self dismantling trick.

A new motor/fan is probably less that 100 shouldn’t be too hard to replace diy even the resistor pack will be cheap aswell. A 2nd hand ones prob about £50 if you want to do it even cheaper. Have a look see if you can get the old one out it may just need cleaning out and a spray of wd to get it spinning,

New Kia and Hyundai ev with 300 mile range are looking like candidates for my next car. My petrol yeti is hardly used now other than for longer trips. The majority of daily driving being done in the wife’s Leaf.
