Condolences to you and your family Northwind. I can’t even put into words how hard it was for us last Christmas when my dad passes suddenly. But I can say that the good memories and family bring you through it.
That mint sauce comic strip brought a few tears to my eyes today thank you for sharing it.

I have both fixed and flexi in my box. Fixed are the default with the flexi only coming out for tricky to reach jobs. The flexi would do most of the jobs the fixed do but not as stable when really pushing them.

We have a 24kwh leaf charge it to 80% over night 1 or 2 times a week . Gives 65 miles range drops abit in winter 4 miles lost to running the heater. Costs 2-3p per mile on house electricity and we sometimes park and charge for free. Only just costs more than cycling to work.

Remove valve core and use a straight hose. Hit it with more air. Leave sealant till after it’s seated.

I’ve got a 50mm drop on my gravel bike. I mostly use it to commute and for long days out on road s and trails. The dropper isn’t really needed like it is on my mtb but it’s just nice when on some of the more challenging trails. Even find myself using it on fast twisty road descents as getting lower on the bike feels better.

From my commute times going from 28c gp4000 on a carbon road bike were about 3 minutes fast over 10miles than 40c wtb nano on a alloy gravel bike. The gravel bike winning on comfort road holding. The lack of buzz on poor road surfaced is more than worth losing 3 minutes. Even sold the road bike as I just don’t use it anymore.

Pressure plate flywheel and friction material was prob stuck together with abit of corrosion. Starting in gear with clutch depressed will of broke that corrosion. Bit of driving and changing gear and it’s good as new.

I’ve never managed to get that to work without the rubber splitting and the grips gouging the shaft.

Your not using a thick enough rubber. I use coolant hose cut to size thick nylon reinforced stuff

Had a sit on and good look at the orbea reps blue and orange carbon one. Very nice looking and immaculate finish then it feels just right to sit on. I’d be tempted if I didn’t have a Rallon.

Instavolt chargers are contactless just tap you credit card and done. For me charging at home is pretty much all I do. Feels strange using the petrol car and having to put £60 in the tank. Just waking up to find a fully charged car that cost me £3 to fill up is much easier.

Small patches sand back and treat with a rust neutraliser then re paint deep penetrating rust cut out and weld in new metal. When I can’t be bothered I sell it and get something that’s not rusty.
