Very nice. Last crosser i rode was a friends KX500 2-stroke. He was given it as payment for something and couldn’t get it started. I knew “the knack” of getting them started, ie making sure the kickstart is at top of stroke. Had a great few days ripping around on it. Pretty scary mind, ridiculously quick!

Interesting vid from Dr John the other day about it’s effect on blood vessels and how it’s not just the alveoli in the lungs filling with fluid stopping gas exchange but also the small blood vessels in the lungs (which carry the gasses to/from the alveoli) and elsewhere getting inflamed, causing micro clots which add to the overall inability to exchange gasses. Well worth a watch.

+1 for Salem’s Lot – the one with David Soul. Scared the shit out of me when i was a kid. The floating brother at the window with the eyes… Also when he’s trying to kill the thing in it’s coffin when it suddenly wakes up, again the eyes.

I thought so too. Messy horrible stuff. Worse than wet lube. After giving it a go I just don’t understand the attraction.

Gardena Comfort High Flex Hose. Has been the least kinky hose we’ve ever owned. Also METAL gardena fittings, all of them. Bit of vaseline on the o-rings every now and then (or get a bag of 50 o-rings from ebay and replace every now and then).

Watched this live last night. Could have ended badly! The guy who grabbed the gun off him was an armed security guard for Q13Fox News. I’m guessing ex-military.

The average cost of tree stump removal in the UK ranges from £50 to £300 per stump. I think £600 is pisstakingly expensive. Get another quote, there’s loads to choose from.

See, i have bought the clippers and am building up to doing it but now i’m not so sure again… :)
    Is that a no.1 or 2?

Got some clippers from amazon last week. I’m scared to do the no3 all over. Might start off with a no6 and work my way down from there. Have to do it myself too. Can’t be that hard?

Ah, didn’t realise the 3dcrowd thing was just this weekend. I’m sure they will go again so probably worth it to keep printing. They are crowdfunding too so talk about paying for a percentage of peoples petg purchases if required.

I think they tell you to use the Prusa designed ones rc-3.

Stumpy01, I agree about there being better designs out there. The prusa rc3 one takes 3-4 hours when i slice it. A long time. Although there are stacked ones to do 6 at a time. I saw the 3dverkstan one too.

So not sure which one to make really. As mentioned before, it was handy to be able to just make the frames and send them in to be finished by someone else. I too have about 4-5kg of pla in stock.

Anyone printing face shield parts for the NHS etc? – https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52111522

Sign up here – https://www.3dcrowd.uk/ Can you let me know what they ask after you signup?

Petg is best but i think they accept them in pla too. If you are making them can you share your settings etc or any other advice.

I think when you have at least 20, dpd will pick them up for free and send them to 3dcrowd where the visor bit will be added and they will be sterilized etc and sent to anyone who needs them (186,000 requested so far).

    Thanks.

… would add that, when people say “soapy water” they probably should say watery soap – has to pretty soapy IME

Picture of dishwasher drain into sink waste needed. As mentioned, if it’s plumbed in after the u-bend then it will have nothing to stop the smell.

Just a note to the putoline users. The data sheet says melting point 68°C and flash point 200°C.
heating it to 190°C is pretty close to it catching fire…

Squirt on the mtb in summer. Just tried smoove on the road bike and i’m impressed. Still clean and silent after a good few rides, some in the rain.. basically does seem like a long lasting squirt.

Tried putoline but found it a horrible, messy ordeal which left my chain black after a couple of rides and was a bastard to remove when i stopped using it.

My condolences to you Northwind. I too lost my dad a few weeks ago to pancreatic cancer. He insisted on staying at home until the end. It was kind of a relief at the time as it was horrible to see him so ill.
Phyllis Tuckwell nurses helped a great deal near the end, coming several times a day and even at night for the last few days. Whatever these people get paid, it’s not enough.

Things will get easier. Remember the good times.

Nope 1500. Which makes more sense when you work out the battery capacity and runtimes. An XML led puts out about 1000 lumens at 3 amps. So a decent 18650 could put out 1000l for 1 hour. It would need three of these to get near the 3000l and it only has two. Simply not possible.
Underdriven at about 500l per led fits with the runtimes etc.

I notice all the ebay versions of the 30w one list it as 1500 lumens…

Last night, 10 miles from home. Big thorn in the front tyre. I pulled it out and it hissed at me, carried on riding and the stans sealed it straight away. Love tubeless…

Never carry a tube or a pump. I’ve done the walk of shame twice in the last 20 years.
