I only shave once a week, on saturday morning, so 25 baldes at 4x a go should do me for a while.

try as i might, i just dont get on with feathers – as far as i know they are Japanese steel (kill bill link there), but they just cut me to ribbons…

Ambrose beat me to it but a very close friends Dad had a Bong Bug in the late 70’s early 80’s.  Said mate was thoroughly embarrassed by it then, cool as **** now.  Friends dad eventually sold it and bought  205 GTi.  It’s now that I’m older that I realise that Norry was actually a top bloke.

Somafunk, does “suck it” and “swell” mean anything to you?  Please don’t take offence if they don’t. But from some of your previous posts (and your username) I think we may have moved in similar circles about 20 yes ago…

Hmmm, not convinced mate.  Hitting a big log with a small stick while waiting for the kill to be butchered prolly started before any sort of big fairy in the sky mumbo jumbo – but I could be completely wrong though…

Slightly off topic but you all seem worldly wise…my wife is always on at me to wear aftershave to work, office job – I don’t agree, I’m not trying to get a lumber! Is it ok for a gentleman to smell nice at work?

Without starting a panic, lots of the descriptions above about kids are very much like my cousin when she was that age. Turns out she has epilepsy, very mild form mind.  Worth getting checked out though…

Get an old t-shirt, cut the sleeve off where it joins the body – keeps your ears warm, let’s the heat out and keeps your hair out your eyes (I haven’t needed the last part for quite some time!)

    Morning,

Thanks Lads, I will have a mooch at pruning saws, although the silky might be a bit spendy.

The bottom is a bit rough and uneven, hence the flattening. Just need some thing to give me a reference to get going :)

We have the whole downstairs done in re-claimed maple from a school gym hall – got it for £10sqm.  Been down for 4 yrs now, no issuess i can think of.  Just make sure yuo wipe up any spills.  Becuase it’s so light , if you get bored just sand of the varnish and use a diferernt shade…

When i laid it, i managed to get the netball circle right in the middle of the kitchen, but Mrs pandhandj insisted we get all the marking sanded off :(

I live in the most vibrant town in the county, and about the only thing it offers over any of the larger communities on Arran is a Costa and trains to Glasgow.

You didnt say you had moved to the Port :)

How about a portrait of them and you, drawn by pencil. The type were you supply the artist some photos and they do the portrait from them? Get 3 copies made, one for each of you.

Essell, sorry mate my question was poorly worded (I blame the wine), drugs was just an example, in my opion – lived in the west coast of Scotland all my days – the war on drugs hasn’t worked here. could it be that the rehabilitation given to the murderers you mention hasn’t worked?  There is a program about a Glasgow gangland hard man who did 20 years for murder in the 80s and he now teaches art to kids in the Glasgow schemes. He has been rehabilitated. Can others not be too? But then again, there has to be a line eventually.

Essell, you have much more experience of prison than I ever will and I completely accept your point above but could it be that what has been tried, in your experience is just lip service or are therr things that haven’t been tried that could give better results? As an example, the war on drugs in the UK has been going on all my adult life but yet we still have junkies falling about the streets.  Could it be that the “hang em high” attitude wins votes rather than fix the problem

The way society is going concerns me.  I am teaching my daughter to do the right thing (the don’t be a diick rule) but with all the crap people try to pull these days I’m wondering if I’m doing the wrong thing.  **** you, I’m alright jack is becoming the norm.

Absolutely no. 12 years in law enforcement taught me that mistakes happen every day – police, prosecution, public, judiciary are not always correct but once your dead you are alwysa dead.

According to T. Pratchett, 1 in a million chances happen 9 times out of 10. (Guards guards, I think)

1988 myslef and 4 friends went Inter-rail though Europe for a month (we were 17-18 at the time).  On an over night train from Paris to Venice, we woke to find we had eaten and drank all our supplies.  I lost th bet and had to go and check the rest of the extremelye long train for a buffet car.  As i walked the train loking for food I passed a group of guys dressed in Scout uniform, one of them had a St Andrew’s flag on the sleeve.  I made a metal note to pop my head in and say Hello on the way back.  Turns out there wasnt a buffet car – thirsty and hungry now.  When i got back to the Scouts I opned the door to thier carriage and said Excuse me lads – my Geography teacher turned round and said Hello paul, how are you.

I went back to my mates to explain no buffet car but I had met Mr Barr and they would give us breakfast.  It took me a good 10 minutes to convince my mates it wasnt a wind up.

I have been thinking about this for a while and I knew i shouldnt have asked  – i now expect to have a big whole in my wallet soon.

in order to try and keep the outgoings down – thinking of smuggler frame only, which leads to further questions:

i have hope tech enduro 4’s on my solaris – can the rear be converted to boost?

can i re-cycle my x-fusion slants? Im sure they can be set to 140mm

    can anyone confirm please?

    thanks

edit – looks like rear wheel can be converted
