I don’t see any evidence to support the view that carnival is “getting out of hand”. I’ve been going on and off since the mid nineties and it’s remained pretty much the same as far as I can see.

Great job! Planning to do the same thing myself actually – those Carerras are such a bargain second hand.

I’m also in the market for a new one and weighing up between this one and the Thomson Covert… doesn’t seem to be much info about regarding either at the moment.

That trailer looks waaaaaay better than the first one. Quite excited!

I agree – the links to forum articles are unnecessary noise. Will probably unfollow soon if they continue.
    Other content is great.

Loads of companies have had a go at producing trigger shifters for Rohloff and Pinion, they never seem to make it to market. Not as simple as you might think.

Anyone know the uk price yet on that new Zerode?
Will be interesting to see how the price compares to the equivalent Nicolai.

I quite like the stealthy integration on this belt drive, Alfine, dynamo powered commuter

    Nice. Who makes that?

I really, really hope he makes the obvious career step for next year. Him, Rude & Graves duking it out in the EWS would be sensational.

    Yeah I hope so too.
Time for him to admit that DH is over for him now. Maybe it’s because he’s too old, or not hungry enough any more, or playing too safe, but it doesn’t matter why really.
I would imagine that Nukeproof will be very keen for him to make the switch next year. If he can keep getting EWS podiums then that can sell them a whole lotta enduro bikes. Doubt he’s selling them many DH bikes right now.

Another doubter here, but very happy to see Danny winning. I can’t believe that all of a sudden he’s in with a real chance of winning the overall! Andorra is going to be a brilliant race!!
Before this season I thought his best days were behind him.

Will be very interesting to see if Josh can find his form again… Something tells me he won’t be putting in quite as much effort as Danny to make it happen. I hope so though as I love his riding style.
SC will never ditch him either way though – as others have said he’s marketing gold.

Second hand Boardman Pro. There are loads out there that have only been ridden once or twice. You’ll get one on that budget.

The tesla thing is poor engineering, weasel words and marketing spin.
The sooner he gets called out on it the better.

I’m no expert in this field, but I’ve read quite a lot about it and about Tesla, and I really don’t see how anyone could arrive at these conclusions.
Are you sure you haven’t just taken an irrational dislike to the CEO??

Tim – looks like you must have been on 60% LTV or better to get that rate.
70% LTV gets the 2.49% rate

Looks like this is not to be for me – Nationwide can only deal with the person who submitted the application (my broker) and he’s on holiday!
Exchanging contracts tomorrow or day after hopefully.
Ah well never mind, thanks again anyway.

Website telling me I can get rate of 2.49%, versus my mortgage approval rate of 2.54%…
Still a worthwhile saving but not as dramatic as yours unfortunately!

Wow… Strangely I am in exactly the same situation with the same lender – will call them now!! Thanks for the heads up!

Loved that last episode. It kinda restored my faith in the whole thing, since I lost it a bit during this series.

    Thanks for the advice.
I ended up watching gun reviews on YouTube all afternoon and went for the Rampage in the end, plus some add-on accessories. The Longshot appears to be style/size over function.
Have to say I am quite excited myself to try the Rampage!
Hopefully he won’t be disappointed with my choice…

    Thanks Northwind!

Another question: My son has asked for a “Longshot” Nerf gun for his birthday. Is this a good choice of model, or are there better alternatives we should look at which are similar?

Can anyone recommend a UK source for cheap but good quality nerf bullets?

I need some by next weekend so can’t order from China unfortunately. Thx.

Am I the only one who found this episode rather disappointing?

Of course the action was great, but the storytelling is really losing it’s edge and the writing is getting very lazy. IMHO.

This is well worth a watch – professor Michael Dougan, a professor of European law, lays out what would really happen (and what we don’t know) about an EU exit

    I second this.
If you have any interest in this referendum you should watch this, to get an understanding of the legal side of it all.

    lazy writing

Unfortunately it came across as this to me. So did that painful “jokes” scene with Tyrion.

    Are water picks worthwhile?

I started using one of these daily about a year ago when the dentist told me I had borderline gum disease.
I think it’s brilliant and has definitely improved my gums (although have not yet been back for the official verdict).

Arya is given a chance to prove herself

I didn’t want to mention the trailer spoilers, but since you’ve said this I will also say that she’s in the trailer briefly and appears to have recovered from her injury remarkably well… (my theory is it was a dream sequence).

but there are now so many storylines which means they are barely progressing

I agree. We are now 7 hours into this series and it feels like hardly anything has happened yet. We’ll be lucky to get to the battle for Winterfell before the end of the series.

Is the PF41 Hope BB essentially the same as the PF46 one? (but a different size obviously)

Was thinking about getting the PF46 one but all this talk of creaking is making me nervous…

just sounds like its the cover and block interaction, which is exactly the same as Canyon’s solution

Nope – it requires a special stem. See here:

Canyon have something similar, but it doesn’t seem to require a specific headset and stem.
