I also have the Nokia 5800 and the sat nav is good, and as it has free world coverage i will be using it in the states soon.

I use a Tom tom one for day to day use at work though and it is easier to use and more reliable.

I would say sat nav if you use it quite regularly, but for now and then a phone would suffice.

Hang your washing ?? is that what they did before tumble dryers ? at the same time as using twin tubs ?.

I also had a peg shortage but managed to hang the washing out.

Ti29er, the vehicle that got the footage was a recovery truck, with a car on a spec lift at the back, the passenger took the footage after been notified by the driver who was in the left hand lane ready to leave the A1 at the A64 sliproad.

He had passengers in the truck so the safest thing to do was keep out of the way.

    It is real too…
It was recorded by a passenger of a recovery truck, driven by a friend of mine, who works for Sirells recovery in Leeds.
He saw it in his mirror and the passenger started recording it, as he was towing he was powerless to do anything!

When people leave their trollys behind and walk off, if I see something I need in it, I'll pick it out.

I put the most expensive item in reach in their unattended trolley, its easier to say you have made a mistake!!

I have never thought i needed more power, put it that way.! :D

It never needs dropping from 6th to 5th whilst cruising up hill, no matter how loaded, even with 7 adults, it will pull away from 40mph sharply in 6th and will keep going.

I am just about to change my new shape (07) for another, its a company car, 1.8 tdci (125bhp)Zetec.
I love it, never had any problems, we have 40 of them on the fleet and they have been alot more reliable than the previous fleets on VW tourans and Sharans.

Mine has covered 148'000 upto now, since the last day of August 07, carrying a boot stacked to the roof with over a 1/4 of a ton of commercial espresso machine parts, and a couple of machines with the seats flat ocasionally.

The fleet manager says i have averaged 50.8 mpg since new and i am not the slowest driver ;)

I would definately buy one as a family car.

Anything else you need to know just ask.

The 70-300 IS zoom is a reasonable lens for the price, mine gave pretty good image quality for £400.

I may be selling my 70-300 4-5.6 IS and my 100-400L in the near future as my new lens has just arrived.

TomB, the new Galaxy's full size 3rd row of seats do not have to be removed, they fold flat into the floor along with the 2nd row.
This creates a vast load area when needed.

My 11 year old daughter is a county agegroup gymnastic champion, a very girly girl, but incredibly strong, her party trick is to take on the boys at arm wrestling.

It highly amusing watching her beat her brothers 14 and 15 year old "hard" mates.

John Travolta's place is the one just north of the one listed above.

The 747 in the driveway gives it away slightly!

We have travelled to Florida regularly for the last 5 years with Virgin, they have gone downhill drastically over the last couple of years.

After the last trip we said we would never go with them again.

Have travelled with Northwest to Orlando via Detroit, can't complain about the service or quality.

    Can't comment on BA though

If your going to Elvington, ignore my Selby advise!

A64 then off at the A1079/Hull junction. :)

So A1 to the A19 junction at Morpeth, north of Newcastle,A19 through the tunnel, A19 south to Dishforth, A1 from Dishforth, A64 to the A1079 junction, head for Hull, imediately after leaving the roundabout hang a right!

I would stick to that as a route as you can sit at a sensible (if not possibly illegal) cruising speed all the way.

Avoid using the York outer ring road if its during Saturday day time!

There are no camera's on the section of the A1 between Wetherby and the A1/A19 junction at Dishforth at the moment (as of Friday)

A19 does avoid the average speed camera section.
M73 then A66 seems to take forever.

I cover all of the North east from Edinburgh down to Lincolnshire as a field engineer, so regularly cover that journey from home near Wetherby.
