Need to be right in the centre with the car unless someone is going to help me carry an industrial espresso machine on the tube?? 😀

Cost is not an issue as its going on company credit card 😆

I was going to just turn up and find an NCP (we have an NCP account) but i understand that finding a space may be difficult.

Home from a great day, apart from the 2 hrs queuing from the M1 at j15a to the circuit and then the 1 hour back out.

To anyone going tomorrow, make sure you watch the trials rider in the arena area next to the demo driving area, there not the best trials riders i have seen but 3 of the cheerleader/dancers are hot 😉

If you do go, make sure you spend another £400 on Universal studios tickets, then have a day by yourself at Kennedy Space Center. 😀

What sort of MPG to large MPVs like these give?

Our transport department do the maths and say my last one averaged 46.9mpg over it 135k with us.
This amazed me as it is fully loaded most of the time with heavy espresso machines, tools and spares etc.

It does go forever on a tank though!!

My present one doesnt seem quite as economical at the moment but it only has 30k on it at the moment, maybe it will improve.

The issues we have had on our fleet of Galaxy's, Smax and Cmax's (60 Cars) are premature clutch wear (some only managing 20k from a clutch on one of our central london guys)
My last Galaxy managed 130k on its clutch though so maybe it how you drive them as they all suffer from a strange lack of low down grunt when pulling away loaded. (you have rev above 2000rpm to get any sort of kick!) 😆

We are moving away from Fords now and going onto the new VW Sharan's and Touran when they are released later this year (we get good deals on VW and already use their van range)
I would rather keep the Galaxy as we had VW's previously and they were seriously unreliable as workhorses 🙄

All the rear seats fold totally flat, and when up all can slide forwards and back, they also all recline which is useful of long journey with kids.

With the rear set of seats slid forward and the middle row half way forward we can seat 5 teenage size kids with plenty of room for 2 border collies.

The S max is the same vehicle internally as we use both along with C max's (for our London tech's)

The loadspace when flat is huge, almost as big as the SWB transporters we also run.
To fold the 5 seats flat takes less than a minute too.

If you need any photo's to see the sizes, let me know and i will take some.

Several years ago i worked for a large gaming machine company, who worked us long hours for little pay.
One of our service tech's (based in Preston)got a new job working on the cruise ships servicing the machines working around the Caribbean, he kept this quiet until the morning he was due to leave.

He rang the office telling the boss he was a complete w&nker, and that he was leaving the car in the most expensive car park at the airport that he could find with the keys locked inside.

After hours of searching Manchester airport (the closest) with the spare keys, the Police eventually called days later to say the car had been found at Gatwick with a note on the dashboard saying "keys in glovebox and loads of expensive tools in the boot"

It cost them a fortune to get it out of the car park too!

The guy was from then on always classed as a hero!

(They ended up disciplining another tech who let slip a few weeks later that he knew it was going to happen but kept quiet)

I am on my second new shape Galaxy, the last one did 130k in 28 months.

It had a clutch at 128k but nothing else went wrong, it is a company car, used to ferry various industrial Espresso machines and equipment about all week!
It is fast enough (never thought it lacked power anyway) very comfortable, and averaging 45mpg from the 2.0 tdci.
The present one will be replaced with a new shape VW Sharan in December (providing they are released in the Autumn as planned) but to be honest i wanted another Galaxy.

The previous Sharan's and Tourans we had on the fleet(50 cars) were unreliable and spent most of the time waiting for new gearboxes due to the "2nd gear crunch" which seems to happen to most of the VW's (including the Transporters and Caddy's we have)

We have the large one with the extras, including the wok etc.

It has been great for the 5 years we have owned it and when the handle on the Wok broke, they sent a new one out overnight.

We use that and a cheap gas hob (the type the canister goes in) and have used it for regular trips feeding a family of 4 for a fortnight.

+1 for Costco, i use them for printing most of my photos for my customers.

Only problem is finding frames for 18×12", i have had to get 20×16 frames and use a mount.

First thing i would do is look at startup programme in Vista, shut down everything you do not need to run on startup, ie printer, messenger etc

Then see if it makes any difference.

To be hope the F*cking stupid tracking thing actually works properly….(they have been known to get interference or give false readings 😀 )

Otherwise your gonna be in big s*it if you break into someone's house and it isnt there.

And if you broke into my house (regardless of whether your cat is there or not) i would be looking to press charges/own you with bombers, ( i couldnt give a monkeys if you would pay to fix any damage! you wouldn't have permission to be there so you are breaking the law!!)
