I have a Play 3 and 5 (+ proper hi fi in the living room). Sonos is great for the convenience and sounds half decent too.

Check Richer Sounds though – they’re doing the exact same bundle for £229 and were giving a free £20 gift voucher as well a week ago, but now the extra £20 is not mentioned on their web site (similar at Currys i think).

Genuine question – have you tried turning Touch and laptop off and on again (proper reboot of both)?

    Wifey suggests:

    net-a-porter.com
    selfridges(.com)
    theoutnet.com

She’s used them (!!) and can vouch for them. Good luck.

I’m no expert but i guess it depends how you want to organise things, e.g. use separate libraries on the 2 laptops?, share same library on some shared space?, etc.

We fly to Paphos regularly and they’re NEVER cheap. You won’t find any ‘£50 each way’ bargains. Cheapest flights are when all the cheapest flights usually are – odd times of year, middle of the night, etc. We always end up on BA (usually part-funded by Airmiles/BA Miles) or Easyjet. One nice benefit of BA is you rarely get the massive check-in queues at each end.

Liners in warm gloves. A pair of these under some warm winter gloves got me through the whole of last winter…

What price freedom? Like Mr Smith I paid about £250 for a set of Ay Ups about 2 years ago. Assuming i night ride 1.5 times p/w, that equals paying £1.60 for the freedom to ride in the dark each time (my only choice 6-9 months of the year) – the freedom to ride AT ALL in the week. And of course that cost keeps reducing the longer the lights last.

If they didn’t last years and years that would be a different matter.

I’m not just talking ‘a bit chilly’, i’m talking Raynauds-cold. Any of you above suffer particularly badly with cold extremities before adopting your respective solutions?

I rode V12s for TEN years. Loved them. Now have Vaults on 2 out of 3 bikes. Love the Vaults twice as much. :D Buy right, buy once.

Excellent event. Had a great weekend. Managed to stay on all day (just) and place mid-field in Masters. Job done. :)

Before the event I wasn’t too impressed with the idea of re-running just 2 stages but they were so good that, by the second time round, they were just getting fun. And all rounded off with glorious sunshine.

I have Sonos DS411j and a Sonos system via a “Connect”. Been running a year or two and I believe both are connected to my router. I thought the bridge was just an extender-type facility?? You just need to get all your music on the Synology and then point the Sonos at the NAS…et voila.

So…I’m assuming the Lev has just 2 positions: up and down? There’s remarkably little information on the KS web pages!!

The diff with a single link was waaaay beyond a “bit of slack” with this chain. Best compromise was running with the pads only contacting 2/3 of the rotor surface. Ran fine for nearly a year but decided to sort it properly hence this thread.

As you say it all depends on individual dimensions…but the Whippet does have a long top tube. Just for the record i have a 70mm stem and layback Thomson post and i’m properly stretched out, probably be just right with an inline post TBH.

I have one of these to protect a carbon downtube:

Quite thick, rubbery, translucent long strip. Mine’s been in situ for over a year and all good.

It does then say the courses will be fully taped out, so I don’t really get the gps comment.

Have a look at the Enduro1 site. Carlos (the organiser) has had problems in the past re walkers, etc sabotaging courses. Guess GPS is just a safeguard?

Never ridden Swinley but can recommend this as i rode the other 2 in the Enduro1 series this year. Hoping to do this one too.

Chain drove me nearly mad at first whilst trying diff combos of links and cog teeth sizes. Add a link, take out a link, add a link…aaaggghhhhh!! Anyone direct me to a half link that will work for my chain? Are they universal? Maybe I need a KMC-specific one?

Be Warned: I’d advise carrying one if you ride a Santa Cruz, their hangers are made of cheese. A friend warned me when i bought an SC so i bought a spare. No use for about 18 months then the inevitable happened about 10 miles from home. At the time i couldn’t remember if i still had it in my pack. After a feverish few moments searching i was soooo chuffed to find i had it!
