Off work 3 months! Sheesh, that sounds bad. Guess she must have a very physical job?? I’m expecting to be back after xmas hol’s.

Had BTB ACL reconstruction and meniscus trim 2 days ago and pleasantly surprised how mobile i am. Swollen, bloody and painful (between doses), but weight-bearing straight out the hospital and hobbling about ok. Physio reckons 6 months for full recovery if i work hard enough so i’m aiming for that. Plenty to keep me busy including late 2015 race planning, Whistler trip and new bike build. Hopefully back out on the trails by spring time. ;)

Hope Hoops. My Flows are at least 4 years old, been endlessly battered with zero maintenance and are still sweet-as.

Ay Up lights. Even older than the Hoops and been completely faultless beyond one of the 3 supplied batteries failing in the rain a couple of years ago. Bonza.

I’ve had some a while. They’re OK. Main gripe is crotch is too low (on me) and keeps catching on saddle. Maybe i’m supposed to be wearing the waist round my nipp’s, but they’re not very long. :?

Whippet? It’s just a placky version of your Inbred. Mine is 22lbs without any special effort to build up light (SIDs, XT wheels, Deore brakes and SLX cranks). Love mine.

    i’m 6’2″ on a 58 with a 80mm stem. Feels a smidge too big for me, and i like a big bike.

Good for you. What type of reconstruction did you have? Hamstrings or BTB?

I struggled with the Conti’s on my CdF too. Now using 35c Smart Sams and very happy with them. Just ordered another to replace a worn out rear.

Nope, nothing like the noise you describe. Deffo take it back. If i squash my ear right up to the grille there’s a faint hiss, but nothing more.

Hiya bud. I have a 5 and i’ve never noticed any noise in standby. It’s in the bedroom so sure i would have noticed. I’ll check tonight and post back.

Do you have anything near the unit that could be causing some kind of interference??

Bless. He/she must be a very odd shaped being. Front end is so steep you’d go OTB before you knew it.

Latteral play? (new top cap bushing) or rotational play? (clean and grease the sprag bearing).

A bit of both i think! Any idea where spares come from (e.g. “top cap bushing”)??

Add me to the list. I’m waiting on an op date to sort 2-3 meniscal tears + complete ACL reconstruction.

Keep us posted Miked. I’m keen to learn what might be in store. Hope all goes smoothly.

Not tried the Crosslights so can’t comment there. I replaced my (very heavy) stock CX wheels with Stans Iron Cross on SRAM X9 hubs. Sorted my pinch flat problem with the much shallower and slightly wider rims. And i can confirm that, as per all Stans rims, the stickers all come off really easily.

Can’t endorse these any more. They’ve literally fallen to pieces after only 2-300 miles. :?

    What a day. :P

Anyone know if a pedal/pedal axle broke, or he just slipped off it? Can you slip off clips??

I’ve recently realised i need a LOT more front brake than i’d normally be comfortable with in these situations.

    Lifelong eczema sufferer here…

The last thing you wanna do is use talc (this will dry your skin – the exact opposite of what you want) and deodorant will likely cause problems with the chemicals and perfumes it contains.

No two people with eczema are affected the same way but i get on very well with washing pads in non bio after every use. Mine are 661 Kyle Straits and they rarely cause me any issues.

Cheers might go for some of the dh trousers and a jersey, whats the sizing like for a 32″ waist, go for small or medium?

No idea on the shorts. I am usually a tall, lanky medium and the Large RC Jersey is spot-on. The Large DH jersey is quite big and flappy but it’s a very lightweight material and I reckon a Medium might get too short in the sleeves.

Love my 26″ version. Had mine for c600 miles. Bought frame only. Night and day compared to the Santa Cruz it replaced. I’m 6’2″ on an XL and standover never an issue. Running mine with 150mm Floats too. No major quality issues for me. Just had to replace some bushes at the back end to remedy a recognised creaking issue. Oh, and the paint chips if you just look at it. All this pales into insignificance alongside the fun i’ve had on it.

I dropped in for a OneDerDog and enjoyed it. Course was much better than last year, though still not as good as it used to be ;) . Great vibes all round as ever. Nice one MoDog!

Anyone seen any OneDerDog times anywhere? They were on Timelaps last year…but nowt there this time.

You CAN follow routes on the 200, but there’s no mapping. This includes following gpx files you’ve uploaded. You just follow a squiggly line on screen. Works fine for this in my experience – I’ve had one.

Rode it last night. It’s OK. Definite improvement on last year…but not as good as it was before that. Little/no features, just singletrack and fireroad. Won’t be Big Dog for me again until they reintroduce the final descent that takes you to the bomb hole. Fingers crossed for a dry day Sat.

I have an FRX. I’m 6’2″ and ride a Large – the biggest they do. Soz that’s not much help but the bike is great (as an option for the big stuff).

Stick at it. You’ll be surprised how quickly you lose your ‘sweet tooth’ (cake tooth??). A couple of years ago i went a full year without any chocolate or crisps. After a few weeks you just stop craving and don’t miss it.

Been running 1×9 for a few months now. It’s 32t up front and 11 or 12-32 out back. Only 32 out back felt a bit limiting at first so i bought a 30t chainring – never fitted it.
