Mine arrived back (repaired) today. Not ridden yet. Return to ROSE was free and turnaround was 3 weeks, though ROSE told me “10-14 days”. Had to chase to get them back when they suddenly appeared on the day I enquired. Appears ROSE used a 3rd party Shimano dealer/repairer to fix them.
I’m 6’2″ on a large Torque FRX. I love it and it kept me in one piece (and grinning) throughout 2 weeks in Whistler last year. No issues with it at all. Would recommend.
Remember you get a 3yr warranty on XTR. 2yr on all other Shimano. Same issue with my M9020s. 18mths old. Bite point all over the place. Gutted as have been a Shimano devotee for years. My set currently with Shimano for repair or replacement.
is it a spring fork? if so, sounds like it may be the plastic sheath has slipped down one end of the spring. Just need to pop it out and re-centre the sheath. Exact same thing happened to me after a service on a Fox 32.
Nice looking bike. Good for the sale to have loads of photos. If you don’t sell i’d recommend relisting again in spring/early summer if you can wait. The mainstream market dies a bit over winter. No one wants to buy a bike when it’s cold and wet outside.
Following latest statement and consequently none-the-wiser why i need £100 worth of insurance, it’s very unlikely i’ll race again this year. Would have done so otherwise.
Took me a while but i eventually worked out that, when you’re descending fast and you can no longer see cuz your eyeballs are shaking inside their sockets, you’re just about to pinch-flat.
SP states you must evidence your insurance when you enter. What happens for all the people that buy their insurance upfront then find their race(s) is sold out?? Presumably they’re left with a years worth of insurance they don’t want/need?
If you’re staying at the ‘Lodge over the road from BPW there a generic harvester-type restaurant right next door. Nothing to get excited about but the food is dead cheap & perfectly edible + the beer and staff are OK. Just really convenient.
Agree SC bikes size-up somewhat smallish. I’m 6′ 2″ and rode a Large Blur LT for years. Always suspected it was a bit undersized. I’ve since moved on to a (non SC) XL frame and now i KNOW it was too small.
I can only vouch for the Lev. I have the 125mm version and it’s been faultless for approx 2 years. Just the occasional rub down and squirt of silicone spray. Only quibble is it has developed some rattly play in that time, but i reckon it just needs a bit of TLC to sort that.
NP recommend 140-160mm for the TR. My old TR was on 150mm and was a dream. Geo almost identical on TR275, hence me building my new TR275 with 150mm. :)
If you cant find any guidance just add enough pressure for 20-30% sag. I think mine’s nearer the 30% mark. Don’t forget to open the switch before setting.
