Grab the front brake hard whilst riding one-handed because you spot the unmistakable sight of a dog egg whipping around on your front tyre.

Dog shit in the face AND a OTB crash…

We’re only guessing, the real test is searching around the usual places to see what they go for – eBay is probably the most honest because you can see what they actually go for – if you want to feel better about it – check out Pinkbike, they’re probably asking £3k for them on their ;)

I don’t want to be a pendant, but it’s a 2013 model – I think all 2014 Lap were 650b and that will make a difference to the a value.

They used to say that bikes depreciated 50% in the first 12 months and 10% every year there after.

Nice one, I’ve tried a few things, the GP even gave me pills to take to help – I’ve got something ‘wrong’ with my liver I’m told, it reabsorbs fat less well then average or sometime – anyway, 2 full years chipping away at 1-2kgs a month, took it ‘old school’ with a basic calorie counter (I use MyFitnessPal app) and I’ve losing 1Kgs a week now, I’ll be where I want to be about Xmas time.

    @allthegear

Sorry, I’m rarely taken seriously in real life, so I’m not used to people taking my seriously online – I was joking, I’ve never tasted Penguin.

I did eat crocodile once, and that is lovely.

Frankly, I think anyone over the age of 12 who’s ever had a cynical thought and internet access knows “Christmas is a pagan festival”.

Which in fact, it isn’t, it’s a hybrid and frankly the ‘Pagan’ bit is the Lib Dems to the Tory Crass Consumerism and Labour Nativity Story elements.

There’s not much detail on that link, but the guy is saying he’d never hurt the snake – and it’s only doing what it would in the wild – I don’t understand however how he’s going to get out without killing the snake.

    What Martin said,

My Lad is 9 now, but at 5-6 he was an emotional little tyke – this coincided with him starting school ‘proper’ he loved reception class but hated year 1 – at first we just thought it was because it was more work and less play – but he said his teacher was mean, we told him over and over that he couldn’t expect to play all the time – but he kept saying she wasn’t very nice.

In fairness to the Lad, fist time I met her a parents evening, I knew he was right – she was a Dick, couldn’t wait for that year to end.

It’ll be worth asking how school is going etc – it could be deferred angst.

I guess he’s given up the smack in favour of coke, that level of narcissism can only be fuelled by the Bolivian marching powder.

The worst thing is, he’s not talking complete nonsense, he just so wrapped up in himself the message gets lost.

I couldn’t stand him when he was a wrapped up junkie on MTV, I couldn’t stand him when he came back as a Dot Cotton standup and I can’t stand him now.

Speedo will be a bit off, I *think* having a smaller diameter would make it over-read slightly.

Biggest issue would be making sure the new wheels will clear the brakes – what car?

Getting on a bit now, but it’s the best bike I’ve ever owned – I’m quite poor (because I have kids) and I don’t have much room for bikes (because I have kids) and I don’t have as much time as I’d like for riding (because I have kids) So “N+1” just doesn’t work for me – my bike has to be tough and flexible enough to be fun riding to the shops, riding around trail centres and bumping through my local woods, down (and up) Bike Park Wales and not get sand kicked in it’s face in the Alps by teenagers on V10’s – and it does all that, even with my fat arse on it.

Love it more than anyone should love a pile of Alu and rubber.

According to Eurostar if you go London to Geneva there “one simple transfer in Lile”.

They also state that they’re super busy with bikes in July (because of the Tour) so you can pre-book a bike slot at no extra cost to avoid waiting for it.

My biggest issue so far is that you have to go from St. Pancras (obviously the planners were told that London is the centre of the universe and obviously – like flying, we must all fight our way into the South East to leave again).

That means either a 3.5 hour drive into London and associated parking nightmares from Cardiff, or a 3 hour train ride – I can’t help but think in a virtual Topgear race – leaving Cardiff I could be in Bristol Airport in an hour, arrive an hour before take off and just as we’d be arriving in London on the train, we’d be landing in Geneva on Easyjet – I think we’ll fly.

Shame, it sounded like a cool way to go.
