i've had lots of cameras slr's/dslr's and larger sensor PAS cameras.

I bought a panasonic G1 a few months and have not looked back. Its just been round Indonesia with me and it was perfect for traveling – cant imagine carrying a 1d or anything bigger than the G1 now.

Don't worry about the 355's I've got the 32 version built on to sp3 am (team issue) on my Blur LTc. And they have taken a real battering in the past few months – down rangers on snowdon, countless descents in the peaks, 4/5 ft drops etc etc.

I had a 2009 five in 18" and now have a large blur ltc – I went through the same debate – I chose a 17" P7 as the 19" would be too big to be fun!

Thanks guys, I'm thinking I should go for a size smaller considering every large'ish HT I've owned I've ended up selling cos it's not playable/jumpy enough.

How stiff are the Ibis frames? I read that they can flex? is this true? Haven't tried one myself but can anyone offer a comparison of frame stiffness to a Blur LTc (which i have tried and found awesome, and stiff)

I swapped my 2010 SL frame for a blur LTC frame. The LTC feels much stiffer.

If I was wanting a really light enduro'ish bike I'd have kept the SL as it rode amazing – but if you like big drops etc then the LTC would be the way to go.

OP- nice bike BTW – mine was in the naked matt finish too much nicer than the gloss clearcoat of old.

I just use a wireless router that orange gave me about 3 years ago.

My MBP, iPhone and touch all connect with no issues. But my MBP phone and touch won't connect to a brand new netgear router at my parents house.

Yep they are comfy – i've had various versions of the Gobi over the past 5 years and definitely wouldn't want anything else.

You cant just buy the saddle and expect it to be comfy straight from the box – all of mine have taken a few rides to loosen up (the wing/tail flex really does work)

As you all say the dad sounds like a di4k – think about all the enjoyment you get from riding a bike – why would a dad not want to spend time teaching teaching his spawn to ride a bike. I would imagine that seeing your kid on two wheels for the first time would be a happy moment. What is so bad about being part of that.

I had a 2009 five AM for 6mts before the Mojo – Felt lifeless in comparison (IMO).

I had a 2010 mojo SL unti a month ago.

I now have a LTc – both are fantastic bikes – not really much between them.

If I wanted a do it all full susser and didn't like big drops so much id still have the Mojo :lol: .

The stiffness is noticeable though- even between the Alu LT2 & LTc (my GF has the LT2)

He kept biting the padding and bandage off even though he was wearing a buster collar! He has now been fitted with a 35cm version – he looks like a walking lamp shade!

My dog has been to the vets 3 times in the past week -on a ride 2 weeks ago he cut his paw on some glass & has now has had 2 ops to try sort it.

Its made me realise that even though he is super fit and as a beagle he is bred to run all day – taking your dog 'mountain biking' is a different kettle of fish. A month ago we did 2 laps of Gisburn – every pad on his paw was grazed and it took over a week to get better.

Im not going to feel guilty when I leave him at home now – much better just going for a walk in the woods.

I'm running some team issue sp3 with 355 currently 32 spoke varient- I was a little worried about how much abuse they would take (coming from some fr2350 & ex1750) but I've got them on my blur ltc.

Currently with 2.3 tubeless DH tyres (1350 grams for each tyre) and they are holding up superb- 3/4/5ft drops to flat(ish) rock gardens etc I even logged my fastest speed going down the blue pig yesterday at 33.8mph and my wheels took a real battering.

I'm about 13.5st in my gear BTW

Shameless plug for 2 bikes which i currently have sitting in my parents garage which may suit – havent ridden either in over 6mts hence the sale.

N reg YZF600r Thundercat (yellow/silver varient) – this was my first big bike. Cheap to insure, good fuel economy and very comfortable to ride all day – id only want about £1200 but it needs a new battery (it had £600 spent on it at its last MOT which was about a year ago)

2004 CBR 600RR – also will need a new battery as it hasn't been rode in over 6 mts. few marks here and there but would only want £3k for it.

Just a polite observation but whenever someone mentions XC bike/race bike/light weight etc on STW there is always a certain member who gets involved and comes across like a cock.
