Unless you have seperate bulbs for the main and dipped then the bulb will be made up of 2 parts as the main is different to the dipped.
I just checked what tye you have and they are H4 and are the combined type as they have 3 connections to them.
replacement bulbs are not that expensive just go into a halfords and buy a H4 type off bulb.

From memory there is a bit of single track but only of the horse track type but most of it is fire road type tracks and i think it is only black on distance.

This was how I got the 9 miles back to my car after the rear mech committed suicide in to the rear wheel.

Found this when cleaning the frame one day

And this 18 months later in the replacement frame.

Unfortunatley i don’t have any pics of the forks after crashing in to a tree.

ETA i hope that this has worked as i can’t see the pics from work.

As andy says really the link is at the top of both as for which to start then consider which climb you find easier/prefer and which decent you want to be fresher for.

The corsa has a hard ride and also it really badly tram lines on motorways. or at least the 1.4 sxi i had on hire for 2 weeks did plus the hard seats gave me back ache. The engine felt really underpowered. as you can tell i was not impressed with it.

    The web site looks good.
What is the riding like at Avon? is it the sort of place to take a newbie?

As aracer says i use overshoes on the road as they work so well plus unlike shoes they seal around your leg better. I have got a pair of BBB hardwear ones (in silver so that they stand out when commuting) and can highly recomend them as my feet stayed dry in last weeks down pours i also use sks mudguards.

I run tubless at 25-30 and don’t suffer from burpping. Do you mean that if you land the wheel sideways that the tyre burps? if so i have only ever done that once and would expect any tyre to do that as you are trying to pull it off.

I did this to a avid 185 caliper to bring it down to 183 but you only want to take 1.5mm off as the size is the diameter.

Having done the SDW on both a HT and a FS i would pick the FS as it is more about the comfort at the end of the day as it might be only chalk but if its dry it is hard and unforgiving.
Your right that it is not the most technical riding but it can get to you if you are not used to the distance and don’t forget that it is 10,00 ft of up and then down.
If you want to run a HT thne i would just use a fast rolling wide tyre to take the sting out.

So what’s he supposed to do? Not plough his field & get on with his work, just so you can stay clean & have an easy ride? Give him chance & he’ll more than likely reinstate it.

he isn’t ment to plow a right of way that runs along the edge of a field. one that goes over the middle is fair and you have to give them a chance to reinstate it.

I don’t think i could get the tyres on with a getto set up on the rims thye are tight enough now. I keep meaning to get they sealent filled tubes but only normally remember when i get a flat.

I can only assume that MrNutt means the alloys that are biger than the normal size wheels with low profile tyres on as my car has 205/55/16 tyres on which is not a low profile and the ride is extremly good. I don’t see the point of putting tyres on that are extra low profile on to a car that just doesn’t need it ie. a 4×4 with large alloys and next to no tyre they just look wrong. you only have to look at what the top performance cars come with to see you don’t need super low profile tyres.

I have been running tubless for a couple of years now and wish i could do it on my road bike as well as i have found plenty of thorns in the tyres when i have changed them as well as seen the little bit of sealent come out when they have gone in and out again. The only time i had a flat that the sealent couldn’t seal was when i got a flint cut to the side wall which would have taken out an inner tube any way.
I use Mavic ust wheels and spec 2bliss tyres with stans sealent in.

Botley Village near Hedge End to southampton General Hospital via the a 27

    Aouch…
    Good luck

Been doing it for a few years now. It isn’t 2 bad as long as you remember to keep your position on the road. In fact going home most days there are nice long lines of cars to pass.

There is a field that has a bridleway running accross the middle of it up behind QE park and the farmer, when he plows it drives his 4×4 accross to show where the path runs and to give a surface to travel on. mind you the horses soon turn it into a right mess.

I have found that the two times i have had brake pads disappear in one ride was during the wet summer when the trails are harder than in winter as they have had a chance to dry and there is a lot of surface water mixed in with the mud so the brakes are getting constantly covered in abrasive muck. I have recently chenged my brakes to XT’s and in the couple of muddy rides that i have done you can hear the diffence when just riding along as the brakes are completly silent. Oh and the pads that dissapeared were both normall ssc ones (well beded in) and avid sintered ones also beded in.

I have used bike tape stuff and found it good and their customer service was excellent as i also order some frame wrap and they had run out of the lentgh i ordered so sent me the longer length for the same price.

The house next door to us ended up like that but the couple that bought it did it up and you would never know now so i dont see how it could efect it long term as its not like a car which has accident damage.

I have found that once you have fitted a tyre and used it then it gets easier the next time you do it.
I always use a compressor as it only takes seconds to get it on that way and i take the valve core out which helps.

It depends on which decent you want to be fresher for. I chose to start at Afan as i really like the whites decent and find the wall climb less fun than the whites.

I nearly always over take but then i don’t live or ride in london which seems to have different attitudes(an observation not haveing a go at any one). when i over take i always keep one eye on the cars i am passing to see if the indicate (not that every one does mind) but i reason that most people at least look in the right hand mirror when turning right they never seem to check the left. I do find being on the left much mor intimidating as on the right i can chose wether to pass the car or wait but it is less easy to do thison the left i also find that some cars pull over to the left to let me pass on the right when they are going in slow moving traffic, mind you some cocks also pull over to the right to block you and this also happens to some motorbikes ( I suspect that they are the same people who have to get past you to join the que of slow moving cars 10 yards in front).

I have seen it on big lorries but it tends to say not to go up the left hand side a bit likt the no entry and pass on the right sign on the spray flaps on continetal lorries

I like the thumbs up when you came off. Did you miss a tree stump when you came off?
Are you just putting your helmet cam at the side of the trail to get it?

I tend to run mine at the motorway pressures as the car goes on the motorways a fair bit. Our car has a difference front to rear of 4 psi 36F and 32R and there are diffent setting depending on what engine you have and body type. As ours has pressure monitors i can see the pressures go up an ddown with both use and the weather as in th erecent cold snap they went down by 3-4psi where as in france last summer one of the fronts hit 41psi.

I do have to be here just don’t want to oh well be on the bike on the way home in a few mins.

I agree with DK. Some of my favourite pictures of my family come from mobile phones as they are the ones where it is just a case of pulling it out of the pocket and getting the picture.

The pics on my screen (ie when not hosted on the web) are as good as our digital cammera any way. It also means that as i keep my phone easy to get to i can easily take pics which is not so easy if you have to get the cammera out of my bag.

    Dear All,

Have any of you who use these pads found that they are thicker than the pads from other manufacturers?

Its just that I’ve fitted some

I thought that when i just got some for my new xt’s but i still have plenty of clerance on those (the main reason i changed from avids to be honest)

One of the people i share an office with will always stop talikng to you to answer his phone, even half way throug a sentance. He also will just but in to a conversation with what ever he wants to say regardless of who you are talking too.

When i got mine i was thinking that they would be only good in the summer but the tread works well on slippery surfaces though i do run mine at 30psi and tubless so that may help.
