The gearing is slightly wider as you go up from the 11t though you will very quickly become used to it (this is asuming it is a shimano one). Yes you normally need an extra link or 2 so th ebest way is to wrap the chain around the big ring and the largest sprocket and then add 2 links to this.
I tend to then check mine one it is all fitted by looking at the rear mech when in the big ring and smallest sprocket to see if it is sitting right.

If you don’t feel that you can cut out the post your self then an engineering company will be able to do it easily.
If you want to do it your self then go with the soaking for a few days in wd40 type fluid and then using a threaded bar down the inside.
If the top is still on but cracked then just twist it till it then snaps off.

I know that it takes about an hour to get to heathrow but when i have gone to putney it has take 1 and a half hours to get there as its so slow once you are in london.

Is the inside part hot or just warm to the touch and how does the out side part at the back feel in comparison?

I have had both cash and bankers drafts and also paid in both. A bankers draft is as good as cash plus its eaiser to trace it and its a bit safer.
Most buyers will have a way they prefer.

This is the bit that applied in out case.
it would be over 1 metre high and next to a highway used by vehicles (or the footpath of such a highway); or over 2 metres high elsewhere; or

Which may applie here if he can claim that it is a fotopath of such a highway.

On of the things about fencing is that you aren’t allowed to alter the look of the area and if this was ment to be open when it was built then it is ment to stay like this which is why we had to put a 3 foot fence and not a 6 foot one.

This is the MBR Verdict on the Team one.

It’s hard not to be inpressed by the specification offered by the Boardman team for the price. It is lightweight, built around a proven suspension design, fitted with high quality components and looks pretty slick to boot.
It’s at home on the climbs and covers ground easily thanks to those light wheels, but with it’s peadling oriented suspension and lack of stiffness it never really feels inspiring or premotes confidence on rougher stuff and downhills. The old-school feel hammered home just home much some other bikes have come on in the last few years and that the Boardman is not fulfilling its potential yet as a true go any where machine.
With this spectacular spec, extra stiffness in the frame and a more supple suspension action, the team could easily become a bike to be rekoned with.

The Whatmtb review of the comp is here

They have also done the pro but thats not on line yet but the summary is With nice detailed and proven frame desgin running a very well matched suspension mix, the proFS chassis is a great all-round baseline. The kit is unbelivevable for pricetag, deliving outstanding weight and performance dividends to create a genuinely great trail bike at a cost where others simply can’t compete.

Re cars turning left on you – if a car comes past as you approach a left turn always eyeball the driver as they come by (can also try a slight move to the side to catch his attention).

When i have had a car turn left across the front of me there hasn’t been a chance of eyeballing the driver as they don’t use there mirrors.

You can hear when a car lifts off the gas to turn – it shouldn’t take you by surprise. Unless you’re wearing headphones, in which case you just aren’t safe imo.

I where head phones and i can hear just as much as when not whereing them due to wind noise and the only time i have jumped when a car wen t past was one of those lexus hybrid things that wasn’t making any noise.

I have a couple of vids on Vimeo here though they were done with the Giro helmet.
I did have to pack it out under the strap to get it secure.
I was a little woried by the bolt but it sits right at the back of the helmet and not over my head.
    see the pics here

We are in the process of selling our house and when you do it fets a bit like the chicken and the egg. Do you wait tosell your house before you find some where or do you try and find some where then sell you house? or as we are doing looking and trying to sell. Our estate agent said that there is a lot of time wasters out there at the moment as they belive that they will be able to get properties for a knock down value.

    1. years have you been commuting by bike?
    2. times have you been badly injured (ie. hositalised) whilst commuting (let’s expand it to any road riding)
    3. times have you been knocked off or otherwise shunted by a vehicle with no injuries

    1. 6 years @100 miles a week
    2. 0
    3. had a couple of light knocks that didn’t even kncok me of the bike and one where a lady pulled left out of a side road and due to parked cars couldn’t go any further so she just stopped and i couldn’t so wnet straight into the back of her car just a few bruises from that.

Hants – I am sure a mudguard would help – you need a commuter type one that goes right round the wheel. Mudflap on it as well

As i use my trailer the most with my commuter which as full length guards i can say that while it helps a little there is still all sorts that get thrown up and is missed by the guard.

How is him waiting for a couier any different than waiting for you?

FFS, a courier is unlikely to give a specific time (especially not for 7 quid) so he will probably have to wait in much of the day (could get it picked up from work though), if it is a personal collection it would most likely be in the evening at a specific time

Not from my experiances it isn’t. The will tell you a rough time that they will turn up and you can easily get couiers to pick up at a specific time or at least as close to people driving some where that they don’t know.

I would have expected some contact after 2 days even if it was to tell you to bugger off.

I find its a good place to star rides form as it has a busy car park which tend to be safer than the quite ones.
Gav i may have to find out from you which one that wood is.

there is no (or ‘not necesarily a’) fire road climb at the start. you come out the main visitor centre carpark, ride along the carpark road past the picnic area for a few hundered yards then as you come to the parking ticket machines the hard trail starts with a brisk climb on a track to the left through a fence.

You can turn up the hill just past the disable spaces and ride along the edge of the wood above the picnic area to get to the offical start and they have also changed that recently so it not straight up any more and now sort of goes around and up the hill.

The idea is that you run sealet to stop punctures so they only make the bead tubeless and you use the sealent to keep them up.
I have been using a pair of those for the last year and have just gone up to the 2.2 ones. I really like them and find them good in all onditions and places.

I have used them just recently and found the service to be great. Your right that the number reffers to the size and type of bearing where as the aditonal number/letters indicate the sheilding type ie 2 rs is 2 rubber sheilds (one either side)

You know what I mean by SUVs – X5, XC90, Q7, Rav4, Grand Cherokee, Range Rover Sport, Tuareg etc.

I would agree with you on most of those except the xc90 as it is a proper alternative to the van like mpvs if you want to seat more than 5 with out being huge and a rav4 is not big nor does it use a lot of fuel in fact in that company its more like a mini.
