I have saw cut ones and when they are rotating in the direction intended they are not going to do that much more harm than another bit of thin metal rotating at speed .

I have had a pair of xc dry2 and thought that they are fine. I found that thye were good in soft surfaces(ie sandy) as well as hard pack and the only reason i don't currently use them is that i have tubless tyres on and can't be bothered with all the swapping faff.

We have just sold ours for just under the asking price and at what we wanted. Down her in the south sales seem to be going through just fine. When we were getting out morgauge we were told that the rates are about to go up and they are also recomending that people fix there rate for the next 5 years if they can. The rates also masivly change if you go over 75% of the purchase price but as said above you can get 95% if you need to and can afford it.

You can get the seals etc replace but i don’t know prices. The drain on the engine from the air con is constant where as the drag from having the windows open rises as the speed goes up they cross at some point and the general rule is about 45mph so above this its more economical to have the ac on and the windows closed below open the windows and turn the ac off.

Our daughter was 4lb4 when born and she is now 6 and still only weighs 16kg and is small for her age along with being stick thin. We have had real concerncs with her eating seeing dr’s and helat advisers and where we have ended up is we give her the food she asks for and let her decied how much she eats and don’t comment or nag if she doesn’t want to eat. We do priase her if she does clear her plate. The only time we now have issues is when she is at her childminders as (understandably) they have less time to just let her get on with it.

I find the cheap and cheerful Ridgeback AT2 is a great trailer, takes 2 kinds and 100lbs of weight (!!!) light alloy frame and wheels, no suspension but ‘real’ offroading is not something I would takle with a trailer – maybe forest roads at most.

It attaches to the dropout – held by the QR (ditch the lightweight skewer and bung a cheapo shimano on – much better). I got my trailer in a sale for £120 rrp was £170 but that was 3 years ago.

I looked at better trailers but I thought I would not use enough, which I dont, knees take a beating! On the upside, very comfy for little ‘un – even falls asleep in it + cars give you a wide berth (may stick it on for my daily commute).

This is what we have and i do use it weekly for taking my littlest to nursary and also picking the elder up from her child minders on the way home. The are very good and you can get a fully water proof cover for it as well as the shower proof one it comes with. In fact this was shoot from ours.

It is an orrible commute as it is all main type roads with loads of cars though we are looking to move (hence the for sale sign) and the new commute is almost all on small back roads with little to no traffic.
I shall continue to play with its possition as i may try for a daughters eye view of the ride home.

    Cheers for the comments.
The trailer is a 2 seater so is quiet wide.
the roads on there are mainly flat to up hill and if you have never tried towing a trailer then i suggest you try it as it is good resistance training. :D

Last time i did it (from my house rather then winchester) i sis it in 13hrs total including all stops i think it was around 10.5 hours riding from memory. It is a long ride and its harder than you think as there is a lot of ups and the downs don’t last long enough to give you any kind of rest. If it is a sunny day then you can feel the heat radiating back up from the chalk as well. As for which one it depends on hour far you ride on your avarage 3-4 hours.

I too am getting this but at the moment from both front and rear. i am currently using sintered pads and think that they may be the cause as the are so hard. What type of pad are you using?

The 95 was never a rebadge/reworked vectra thats the 93 the 95 has the underpinings of a fiat from a long time back.
Having driven a saab i hope that they keep going as they are a nicer alternative than the 3 big german manufactures.

I am going to try and find the half worn set f originals that came with the brakes to see if they are ny better. It only seems to have happened with the warmer weather. I can see where you are coming from and it would support my thoughts on them being to hard. I have just looked at the vid i took today and don’t think that i drag my brakes in fact i think that i no brake later than i used to.

I do have an 203 at the front but it only happens when braking hard and no i don’t drag them and i treid fresh pads today and they were doing it from the off. never had this problem before this year though this is also the first time i have used non OE Sintered pads

On a program recently the did a bit on a school that had a problem with speeders outside of it. The police got the kids to hold the radar gun and check the cars speed and any that were going over were pulled in and asked to explain to a bunch of 7,8,9 year olds why they were speeding and the kids explained back why it was so dangorus. you have never seen so many people looking so uncffortable at having to explian them selves.
I would also like to see more avarage speed cammeras around.

I have had 2 GT crack in the same place which was propergating from a weld at the head tube junction and from a search on the net im not the only one. In fact the newer desgin of that frame is completly different at that point. I was told at the last swap that as it was 5 years since my origanl purcahse that iwould not be getting a warrenty on that frame so i sold that one and bought a different one (though still a GT).

I have riden both up and down jacobs and the track on the far side(from edale) and can ride up 90% using spd’s though not with out dabs and the only time a came off going down was due to ice.
I can’t decide which way i like the riding there though as both directions have there challanges be it in decending or climbing.

Can’t think of a reason why not as all the washer does is help stop the bolt coming lose.

    owenfackrell

Some are manufactured on there. They are easy to identify as the are free to spin and have a little bit of vertical movementdue to the size of the hole in them being the same as the diameter of the top of the bolt which is slightly smaller than the thread od.

I find that i can do them seated so easliy on my mtb but its harder on the road bike and when facing down hill endup doing as you do and creaping forward.

When driving just after a summer down pour once there were these 2 kids a tthe side of the road next to a huge puddle and they were trying to ge the cars to go through it to soak them. Every one was driving round it so just to be nice i hit it full on and you could see them dancing around in the mirror after i had passed. I also like driving/riding through puddles any way but do try and not soak people.

COngrats to both of you. Get your sleep while they are in hospital as you will soon forget what a full nights sleep is. You will also eventually see 7-8 as a lie in!

If you read the snopes artical then it says that it is true just when the signal is completly blocked ie in a tunnel then it wont work but other wise it will. My phnoe often says emergency calls only when my network doesn’t have a signall but if the is nothing at all then it just goes blank.

Mind you if this is a couple of years back then you are right as they used the year befores frame where as now they are the same.

    Halfords GT

So apart from one mech hanger being black where is the difference?

    owenfackrell
    Free Member

And when did you do that?
The standard GT ones are not butted either. I take it you cut them in half to see the differences in the tubing thickness? and that you r eyes must be calibrated.

I sort of agree with what he does right up until this bit
“Put your hands behind your back or you’re going to be Tased again,” Mr Bieze shouted, and then hits her with another jolt.

As having seen the US cops on a few road wars they seem a bit to quick to keep pulling (and holding) the trigger after the first jolt.

GT bike, better spec and price than from a GT dealer.

wrong .. halfords GT are on a very inferior quality and heavy frame compared to the real GT brand bikes.

try comparing an aggressor (halfords) to an avalanche (lbs) the reason they are cheap is the shit frames that they have…

Absolute bollocks. The frames are the same full stop they are just bought direct from GT and not brought in through a third party.

I do this regulary with my giant scr which is a alu frame. You just have to use slightly easier gears and start braking sooner.

I like self serve and Sainsburys fast track even beter as you can load up your bags as you go. What i find anoying is where they take a product that works and manage to replace it with 5 different things that never do quite what you are looking for.
