Pretty much spot on for what i do. I know i could just go for it but always end up grabing the brakes as you say though i have started to hit the second 2 with more and more speed so i just need to MTFU and go for it (as my ever so loving wife told me).

I have met a couple on the whites climb at Afan but both times they saw me coming and stepped of the trail so i just said thanks and carried on as it seemed clear that tehy knew they were mtb trails and watching out for bikes.

stumpy01 – looking at the pics i would guess that your door made a horrible sound when you opened it? I would also agree that they is no way you were any thing but stationary when it happened.

Pantsonfire. the insurance companys have started to do that in the US, The hard drive atomatically saves the last few minutes in the advent of a shunt. It is a way reducing the preminums. I would go for it my self.

and they slamad on the brakes whit out the lights giving you the warning you would run into them before you had realised they were stopping.

due to adjusting iPod volume or taking a nap ?

Have you not seen how fast a car can stop from 70? oh no i forgot you haven't driven for years have you.

IF you could prove thqat the person had disabled there brake lights (which wouldn't be hard if you hit it at speed) then they would be held responsable as there car wasn't road worthy.
It is all very well leaving a big enough gap to stop in when the car in front has its lights working but if you were travelling at 70 and they slamad on the brakes whit out the lights giving you the warning you would run into them before you had realised they were stopping.

MF they cliam you have to take the bummper off to do it but not if you have nice flexable hands you don't.
Like i said a lot of th eproblems can be fixed cheaply Ie the key cards can stop working but if you post it off to some bolek (or fancy doing it your self) then it cost £25 instead of the £180 odd that renault want.
I will admit that there are a lot of problems with them but as they are comman fualts they are normally easy to fix there are also a lot of modern TD that have turbo failers and looking at how most drive them i am not supprised in the slightest by that.

I have one but mines an 53 plate so a few of the earlier gremlins have been worked out. Mine has done 127k miles so far and hasn't had anything done apart from the norm. The stuff that does go wrong with them often can often be cheaply fixed if you are handy with a spanner and go to http://www.renaultforums.co.uk.

I always put in my max bid and leave it at that and if its worth more to some one else then so be it. It may be that you need to spend that little bit more if you keep being out bid.

I would agree with that but wouldn't worry about the air intake unless you point it stright up it most have a bend with a drain hole in to allow water back out.

Hora if the car is completly off you don't have to be that carfull as do you not think that water (vapour at least) gets in when its rain heavly and your driving at 70?

A cars temp will go up as soon as you switch it off but not to the extent of getting any where near causing damage as it no onger has a 500 deg C fire at its center.

Rode it to work this morning. The bike handles well and really responds well to rider in put. Conti tyres still seem to come up small as the speed kings on there are ment to be a 2.2 but they are smaller than the 2.0 specalized ones i have but they do roll very well on hard surfaces.

But you don't drive for a few miles if your coolant is gone unless you are nuts and the point of a hard shoulder is for you to pull into in an emergency and you can do it far quicker than a few miles besides which you wouldn't be driving the engine at this point so unless you haven't noticed the temp going up you shouldn't do any damage.

If you rad goes its not like you are just going to stop is it.
I had a stone crack the block on a motorway when in the outside lane(it is not a fast lane) and got the car accross easily enough.

A pipe to the expansion bottle wasn't clipped on

Its a worry though. If it happened on the motorway where would you pull over with your radiator rapidly emptying and possible risk of overheating?

Er the hard shoulder. You know that place that has been built for broken down cars to pull over onto.

I tried that with the bars but then they felt to far back. It is a little different in position to my other bike so will take some getting used.

Go you know you want to.

Will do. It feels light in a pick it up kind of way. and the frame is nicly finished in fact for the price (£711) i can't fault it really so far.

Does look like it from the side doesn't it? but no it is 2 F's facing opposite ways with an o in the middle.
A quick ride round the block it feels fast but tomorrow will tell.

I really dont give a fig about football but things like this

This is a genuine high profile news story

Really piss me off. It is not a high profile news story its only in the news becuase he is an over paid idiot who kicks a ball about. There are plenty of high profile new stories that get glossed over becuase of what this/that footballs have been doing in the last wekk or so.

Leaving it a month before your visa runs out to try and sort out a marrige is a bit daft

Another person who doesn't understand what love is. Quote :

"Rochelle had a six-month visa and only intended to stay a month, but the couple fell in love and decided to get married and stay in Wales."

    .

Nope i do understand what love is but thinking you could organise all that with only a month left on you r visa is daft not only that just becuase you are in love it doesn't mean that you have to marry stright away does it.

    owenfackrell

Reading the whole artcal it quotes the imigration as say that the reason she was deported is becuase she over stayed her visa and not anything to do with her age. If i have read it right then she was here illegally when she got married and because of the new law she is not allowed back with a marrige visa till she is 21.
Leaving it a month before your visa runs out to try and sort out a marrige is a bit daft any way as even just appling through the lcal registary office can take that long.

I remember that one Count. The was the normal carbon is bad post on here untill the guy came forward with the pics of the alloy frame.
All things can snap the only real difference is that you may find a crakc in a metal frame first.

that matrix isn't thermoplastic on bikes, but the conventional epoxy

And kevlar and glass fiber… Spot the irony

What irony? The material is being manipulated to give the best resulst besides which your alloy frame isn't aluminium it is an alloy of it along with other metals.
I use CF bars on my MTB and CF forks and seat post on the road bike and don't have any worries on the strenght of them. The whole 'CF suddenly snapping' thing makes me laugh as alloys do that just as much.
I was riding my bike to work this winter when i hit a huge hole in the road that had appeared over night, I hit it with enough force to take out both of my tyres as well as cause the bars to rotate downwards but the forks are fine and hve covered over 100 miles since then icluding hitting other holes and such in the road.

I use this to take my daughter to nursary as well as picking my other daughter up from her childminders.
If you intend to use it for any sort of distance then i would recomend that you get as light a one as you can afford as you soon start to notice the weight when stop/starting and hitting hills

One of the blokes in my office drives an x3 and he is a **** on the roads but wehn i have pointed out to him (with video) he thinks its funny and says that bike shouldn't be on the road as they don't pay tax :? .
Just to balance it i had 2 BMW's let me pull out when riding home yesterday.
I find that the vast magority of drivers are ok but those that think they are driving a 'luxury' car are the worst for cutting you up and trying to bully you out of the way.
I have noticed a complete lack of ralising what a solid white line is for when riding home from work but that seems to cover just about every driver going.

We can't fit either of our car seats in the middle as one won't fit as it won't allow the seat belt to go in and the other rocks on the seat base as it is rasied up.

the saw bit just dirupts the airflow arroud the rotor, helps keep them cool

it is also ment to help clear mud etc from with in the caliper body.

I am glad to see him win having seen him sprint in real life.
I did like this comment about the others in the hunt for the green jersy.

Asked what advice, if any, he could offer to them Cavendish was curt: "Cross the line before me."
