get_iplayer dropped in response to BBC’s lack of support for open source

    Boo.

I have Audacity, but the quality on bbc iplayer is crap isnt it?

Maybe Ill sky+ it then connect my amps output to a USB vinyl deck I have got and record through audacity?

Wish you were here: Floyd on acoustic guitar.

Not even a huge floyd fan, but this tune is one I would just love to be able to play.

    Weights of skewers here: http://www.amclassic.com/en/products/components/quickrelease.php

but mine definitely arent that light, my XLITE titanium's are 79g/pair and I remember weighing (Yes sad i know) the AC ones when i got them and them being double the weight.

I can check again tonight if you want as i still have them.

The skewers are definitely not 80g/pair, more like 80g each.

Ive not actually used them but Ive they have been known to lock up & become difficult to open/close.

I think thepurist has had a bad experience with them?^^

Use the presentation itself as prompts.
dont have too much information on each slide

each bullet point should prompt you to speak about the topic

    Practice, practice, practice

oh I just remembered, the skewers you get with em arent too good (so most people will tell you) and quite heavy.

I heard so much bad stuff about the skewers I just continued to use my X-LITE titanium ones.

Did anyone see that programme where he had to write a classical piece, and as he cant write or read music he had to draw what he wanted?

The piece actually turned out pretty good IMO

I've got the mtb26's and love them, pretty light for a £400 set of wheels, graphics are a bit blingy though, especially the big 'valve' sticker in case you can't find the hole!!

Been using them for around 6months in Scotland no problem.

Funnily enough jamie olivers recipe for pesto is pretty good.

Anything you make yourself with fresh ingredients will be far better then anything from a jar.

PS its tasty, but pine nuts and parmesan are quite high in fat/calories, just beware!!

Sorry to drag this up agin but it still aint working for SKY

I am trying to get dolby digital from my Sky HD box, and have it connected via optical cable and dolby digital enabled in the Sky Menu. Whenever I am watching a broadcast which is broadcast with either the DS (Digital surround) or DD (dolby digital) label in the tv guide I still dont think I am getting dolby digital through my amp.

My amp scrolls Linear PCM 48 across the front, and the two surround speaker boxes on the front of the display, just show empty boxes like [] , whereas when I watch a blu-ray these have [SL] or[SR] and the blue light comes on on the top of the amp.

So what am I doing wrong with the sky? Or is linear PCM 48 as good as it gets? Do you think I am only getting sound through my HDMI cable, if so I cant find the setting on the amp to set the satellite input to receive audio from the optical and video via HDMI.

Also what the difference between programs broadcast in DS or DD?

Please help, this has been driving me crazy for weeks!!
